I always thought of Andre as the best when I first heard him on Players Ball. Sad that him and Big Boi (Cee Lo too) are on that Illuminati shit. Sadly, its the price of fame in this world. Dre got in playing his first role as a gay guy in Be Cool and Big Boi still doing his pimp thing at 40+ (they love when when we dont uplift black people) After they won that gold Grammy it was over. They both do the hand signs in magazines and photo ops. Dre lives the life of white celebrities who walk the streets, Big Boi wanted to be that pimp in real life. No one can take his rap skills away, but the "industry" which owns everyone's music. But we already seen that story, ask Lauren Hill, the female version of Andre 3000 to me

I met Andre in Philly at 10pm on a side street in Chinatown, he was playing a Native American flute, wearing overalls and a shiny blank bankpack. Real nice, just chatted briefly like a regular dude. Also met DMX on South St in Philly at 1am hanging around his friend's Volvo wagon. Nicest dude ever, so appreciative and friendly. Yeah I'm lucky.

It's a thing when EVERYONE respects you. Andre has like... the lowest self-esteem it seems like... but everyone looks up to him. Your favorite rapper will never publically disrespect 3000. That's an amazing thing these days.

Andre 3000 is 100% comfortable in his own skin. That is real self esteem.
@TravelWriteLive3 жыл бұрын
@@cperkins5050 I was referring to Andre in his own words about himself and his craft. Being comfortable "in your own skin" and having a high self esteem are actually two very different things. And I think I'll side with what Andre says about himself over randos; even though I'm sure we can agree he's an amazing creative mind.

Andre 3000 was standing right next an I kept saying to myself is that Andre 3000 from OutKast. When I saw the mole on his face then I knew it was real. I really star struck! I saw Andre at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Saw 3 Stacks at a intersection in Atlanta on Piedmont. We were at a red light. He on the opposite side at his red light. He was in one of those throw back land rover defenders. I just saw a dude with a rasta dread cap beating on the steering wheel... feeling the music. I was like "check out cool runnings!" My girl says "that's Andre." Andre by first name is always 3 stacks in my circle. I double take and it was him. I fanned out slightly. I yelled out "3 stacks!!!" He looked, smiled and threw up a ✌🏾. Light turned green... and I never saw him again.

That was the same way I saw the mighty Mos Def here in New Orleans in LakeSide mall. It was just him, his wife, and his kids just enjoying being normal, folk wanted to approach but nobody was crowding the man space when they saw he was with family but you can see people knew who he was. As he made eye contact with people he smiled, spoke and keep his stroll on. I imagine 3K to be the same way....

I don't know andre 3000... never seen him in person but to me he seems like a real down to earth guy, unlike most artist who act like gods after getting a taste of fame. Mostly be saying " do u know who i am?!?" whenever they don't get that special treatment that they want like they want u to bow down to them. Andre 300 never flaunt any fancy jewelry, cash, guns, etc to ur face. The guy just came with his talent and creativity in music and his sense of fashion where he's very well known for. Impossible to see any artist today that can stay humble about their wealth. 👍👏✌️
