You can tell the people who have never fully listen to OutKast albums. Big Boi has the best verse on several of their songs. 3K is the better of the two but Big Boi is an incredible rapper.

Big Boi was a very good rapper but Andre 3000 was an artist If Big Boi hadn't been great as a rapper they wouldn't have lasted that long together. In a group there will always be someone who gets the biggest shine, TDE - Kendrick Lamar does, G Unit - 50 Cent did but Lloyd Banks was a better rapper than him etc

@Andre King You don't just rap for FOUR ALBUMS alongside someone that is undoubtably considered "the best" for 10 + years and be trash. Nah fam. That is literally impossible and a very foolish assumption on your part. From Southernplayalistic to ATLiens to Aquemini to Stankonia they were pushing one another, bouncing ideas of one another, writing and then re-writing verses to see who could out do one another. You're OD bugging. Lol

I will try to give another analogy. For all of my anime heads, here it goes. Any of you ever saw the series afro samurai? So in the movie, Afro Samurai's father, Rokuturo, was the number one fighter in the world, and he wore the number 1 headband and is Killed by Justice, a cowboy gunslinger, who wore the number 2 headband until it he killed Rokulturo to take the number 1 headband. And Afro sought vengeance his whole life, wearing the number 2 headband because the one holding the number 2 headband is the only opponent that can challenge whoever holds the number 1, which is still Justice. However, anyone can challenge whoever holds the number 2 headband in their possession. Jay-Z in my opinion has the number 1 headband, but he knows that there is someone out there with that genius ability, who has the number 2 headband. But he is chillin, living life playing the flute, and doesn't seek that number one spot. He just wants to live life and create beautiful art and moments, not seeking revenge and ultimate power. Hope I didn't bore you guys!

Both are Amazing Rappers. The difference is Dre can Rap like Big Boi as he showed us on Southernayalisticadillacmuzik but Big Boi can’t rap like Dre. Nobody can. The rest of their albums showed his evolution as a rapper and his style change and the contrast between Big Boi’s style and Dre’s new style being able to work on the same song is what made OutKast so great. But not many rappers can play Big Boi’s role either.

Andre is the GOAT and I don't understand why there's even a debate tbh. He's better at rapping than anyone else who's ever done it. Zero bad verses. Every verse is about SOMETHING. You can't find a Dre verse (at least past the 1st album) that isn't laser focused on a topic, going deeper into a subject than vast majority of other rappers, while doing shit with the tempo, rhyme scheme, voice inflections... SOMETHING to give it extra life.. oh yeah, all while delivering technically perfect lyricism, with all sorts of poetic elements thrown in to vary it up. Lyrically more dexterous than any rapper ever. From ridiculously long multisyllabic schemes, alliteration, again inflection shifts from line to line in a pattern that goes for an entire verse... NOBODY else does that shit. Content depth of Tupac (different subjects, obv.. but in terms of how connected they are to the SOUL of whatever they're talking about.. they're 1A and 1B on that imo all time), while just being on an entirely different planet as far as technical skill (Andre NEVER giving you some Enemies/Hennessey rhyme). There's nobody else as good at rapping TECHNIQUE as Andre, that's anywhere close to as good at the human element of it. Not Jay.. not Big.. not Nas.. not Em. No. Not Royce, not Thought, not Lupe.. sorry. Phonte is the only other rapper I even bring up in this discussion as having the same combination of elements (just at a decently lower level), but y'all don't want that convo.

Kanye had another completely different verse from this one. We have some audio of it from the Las Vegas Listening Party. I would guess after Andre heard that verse. After the song was taken off the album Kanye probably just did the Drake diss version. He was also actively working on the song and as of recent the Akademiks snippet of Kanye's verse is very similar to the Las Vegas version

And The Love Below was part of a OutKast album but it was clearly a solo effort. And it’s the reason they won a Grammy for ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Andre 3000 easily top 10...thats without debate...we need more Andre music to solidify him top 5....shit he could be number 1...I swear every verse Andre raps is 10/10 and he only drops a verse every 3 to 4 years.

@@6thbr871 he's def top 20. He's missing the body of work but whos really bouta outrap this man aside from Common, Black Thought, or Lupe? There are definitely people that can rap with him but they gon sweat that verse out.

There is no "better" than the other at that level. It comes down to person preference, style and content. Once you are in the conversation you've won. If people argue whether you should be in the conversation, then you aren't in the conversation.

@@dontescriber6520 right… 😆 Joe’s opinion will always remain his.. some are solid and some are as weak as his rap career. 1st of, if 3 stack is that great he wld be confident enough to release his own Project… he’s in the Top 15 for me. Jayz is the 2nd most influential Rapper after Pac, and the 3rd best after Nas & bigg.. in my opinion just going on the essence of HipHop is between Big & Nas, IMO. Nas has enough materials to put him as No1. Over big. Most of Nas best work don’t have bunch of features on them like Jayz. For me to regard a rapper as the best u need to be able to carry yourself without lots of help ( called features🤣) on albums.

@@darlaigbokie1653 what pac and big can't be in a top 5 list because they barley have a resume plus what about individual talent if we talking individual lyricist 3k so much better than pac and big easily and I love pac and big and nas is great but 3k better than he and Jay lyrically plus 3k resume is better than nas he was a huge part of outkast success plus being top 3or5 lyricist make him not really need a solo because outkast success plus individual skills is a huge part of a artist.

Nas is great and top 5or10 and he is still out rapping artist today but he has like 10 albums and only 2 was really good the great one being the one you mentioned and I might take him over jay because nas is better lyrically but 3k is easily better than nas lyrically and also outkast resume is so much better than nas they have like 3or4 classic albums not to mention they're the last hip-hop artists to win album of the yr at the grammys so to say nas better than Joe 1and 2nd are incorrect because 3k is better than nas and yeah no solo projects but do he really need it if he's that great lyrically plus he was apart of maybe THE Greatest hip-hop duel ever I say no .
