Kindly reply some of below queries - 1) How many days it takes to do the mutation? 2) Will get any receipt from government about the confirmation of mutation? 3) Other than mutation is there any other government approved documents from which anyone come to know about the ownership of any particular land? As I am buying one land in UP & owner telling it will take 30 days to do the mutation & later he said now a days mutation stopped by government.

1. Yes. It takes about 30 days after mutation for public records (khasra & khatauni details) to show new owner's name. 2. Yes. You'll get an acknowledgement receipt. 3. You can get a copy of previous sale deed from Sub-Registrar's office. You can also check registration number of sale deed that the current owner has. Hope it clarifies.

Dear Sir, Thank you for these informational videos... I have bought a land on 22 Dec 2017 in Lucknow (U.P.), the land is under 143 (Residential). Do I need to go for Mutation or just registry is enough? I have seen your Mutation video, however in little doubt, because my land comes under village area (not in Munciple). My details are still not reflecting on Bhulekh website, only previous owner details are there as earlier. Is there any specific time duration when my details will be uploaded/ reflacted or I need to do some other process for that?

You will have to get your mutation done by going to Tehsil Office. It will not be updated automatically.
