I think its the respect and interest the Korean guy shows plus he is not patronising these qualities all go along towards making this film unique in my experience.

thank you for making these videos and showing it to the world. WOW. Bhutanese people are certainly living in a paradise. They live simply, contented of what nature offers and not asking for more. They value nature more than machines, They chose majestic green mountains over big cities, they thrive together with all the beast and all living creatures on their yards. Whilst most countries are spending billions for what they call economic progress, Bhutan simply outshines them all.

When the rest of the planet is barren and empty though disrespect and abuse of nature, there will still be a haven and paradise called Bhutan. If only more of the so called civilised world could see this video. Thank you for taking us like-minded souls and lovers of nature into the heart of Bhutan and it's people in a most respectful and dignified manner.

"the reason i yearn for a simple life, even though i have a privileged one, is probably because i have too much greed."..wow wise words. this is the curse of the privileged. we are still not happy with what we have and still desire a simple life. but are unable to be satisfied with it. profound...ok i get it..just be happy, wherever you are, in whatever lifestyle you chose, and create for yourself, no matter what situation we are in, just be happy and do the best you can. i do believe its good to chose simplicity if we can. i like the man on his journey, very open heart and respectful

OMG, this is probably one of the most profoundly insightful effects of self-realization and actualization ever. I came to the same conclusion inside the fitness and bodybuilding world. The terrors and tragedy of having it all and still not being satisfied lingered forever and still does for almost all bodybuilders. Its also why I fawn the argument by economists who associate greed with the justification of capitalists excess, when in fact humans really don't know what their best interest is.

They seem happy. However, as for their health, that is a different thing - they could use dental care, i'm sure. Their average life span is 70 years old. I'm from the western world and my father died at 94 _(from an accident),_ but he was healthy. My mother is 84 and still going. I'm very healthy and i don't need dental care, all because i've learned to take care of my health. It's all in what we do and eat.

We do have crimes in Bhutan (Mostly petty crimes like brawls, theft, trespassing & so on) but it is relatively low compared with the rest of Asia. As for health, like the rest of the world it depends how well you take care of your body & how fit you can be with some Bhutanese living up to 100+ in age. However we do lack some specialized medical facilities & services and information about diseases & medical services is poorly understood by some of the populace.

Thank you very much for going there and showing the beautiful nice people of Bhutan. Their heart is so pure and honest, welcoming foreigners into their lives. And sharing what looks so little yet such valuable. This is very rare to us, who live in the city and people just don't care to one another and not being nice at all. Very precious life/traveling experience.

My late grandma used to feed us rice with butter n milk. Nostalgic. My late grandpa had one of those rope (wurda) that this yak owner used to call his animals. Btw Dzong is pronounced “Zong” not “d” “zong”😬 yak is male, the milk is from “dzo” (female yak). Also, pronounced “zo!”
