Thanks for the video, I've been waiting for it! For me Manis is the winner hands down, coz it's the most "analog sounding" out of all three. Ataraxic is a little to raspy and BIA is good, but not crazy enough. Manis in my opinion has a great balance of being crazy on demand but tamed and normal when you need it, keeping warmth and deepness of the sound. Cheers mate, keep it up, great format you got here for your videos
@IhorMedia3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the idea, mate! Agree with you on the Manis. I myself lean to MI after watching my video back. That bass sound I created at @22:20 going gently on the Bash thing. Oh man... I am going to sample it for sure and keep it as a Swiss Army knife. Glad you checked in, bro! I appreciate your feedback and kind words! ✌️

i will say if you run the bia through the rossum morpheus from experience can sound quite analog, generally the wavetable synthesis modules are relatively tame without oblitereatIng the origional character in some way... i have only three in my case my favorite is the synthesis technology version. the implemetstion on the shapeshifter uses them well. the swn i just create wave tables for it so it doesnt sound like some wanna be pad maker. love the video Ihor! well done brother.

Your videos are getting better and some really good advice for people here. These NE Oscillators can go batsh1t crazy so gentle attenuation is a must. Great descriptions of all the knobs too as they are quite difficult to describe. Keep up the good work and look forward to the next video. Better than my attempts although I’m thinking of doing some tutorials too.

Ihor, I love your videos and find myself coming back to them over and over again. Do you have any advice on using a Digitakt for percussion (I bought one because of you!) with modular? They work great together but i dont know how i would duck the bass on the modular against the kick from the Digitakt?? More videos please, you are the Techno king!

I think you have to duck the bassline before it comes to the Digitakt, since it can't really duck it on its own.

I found Loquelic giving me insane bass. Also, all NE oscillators have insanely wide sonic palette with just one parameter changing, let alone all of them - say fold and morph at the same time - therefore you MUST use attenuators if you want to get proper modulation out of all this.

Yes!

I’ve just got the bia...lined up for birthday in 10 days. First modules :D chose that though for future plans so that I could get a bass module and drop the bia to drum duties. Is it me, or does the manis sound wider and richer tones for bass than the other two?
@IhorMedia3 жыл бұрын
I think Manis does sound reacher, actually. That bass line I created at @22:20 sounds crazy good. I'd sample it for future, but messed up the patch already 😁 However I think I just got that right spot on Manis. It's like a lucky consequence. I think on BIA you can also hit a nice spot easily.
