I love the fact that when you miss a drop, or have a mistake, you don’t edit it out. I feel like it highlights the fact that making music on the fly is all about taking risks, and when something goes wrong, you just keep going and shrug it off… but when it goes right, it’s magical. Great videos sir.

I guess it was using the midi module, but could you describe please which cables are used to make them talk? thanks!

I would have thrown that last channel of the Mimetic at the Electus for something, maybe regen (to sometimes duck the tail) or spread to change between reverb/delay. Overall though, I had fun so it doesn’t matter.

Literally, my favorite part that always makes me smile - the Ihor "have fun" drop at the end of your videos. Curious if I could use my Sinc Bucina like how you used the Pip Slope for ducking... Waiting on the Lapsus Os to arrive. Can't wait!
@IhorMedia3 жыл бұрын
I think you can use SB as an standalone envelope. So, grab that Lapsus Os (or any other double atenuverter module). Also instead of VCA you can "duck" VCF or LPG. Thanks for tuning! I appreciate it ✌️

Hi Ihor Me again I wondered if you could do demo on how to make kicks in Digitakt as the kick in this demo is awesome It’s the kick on Manis iteris tutorial I’d love kicks like that Wonderful tutorial as always my friend and mentor👍🆒🆒🎶
@IhorMedia3 жыл бұрын
Hey Martin! Glad you liked this tutorial! And thanks for your kind words✌️ Regarding kick drum it is not much to demo, actually. What I usually do is: take a good sample, shorten amp envelope decay to my taste, add some overdrive - done. Pro tip: add more overdrive than you think it needs! Pity that I can't recall what sample pack was this kick sample from. Sorry mate!

The video format is great Ihor, keep it up! Regarding the ducking setup, could you use just send the Digitakt kick track triggers out through uMIDI and grab the gates from there? That way when you mute the kick on the DT the ducking automatically disappears and you also don't need to mirror the kick track on Steppy and use a Lapsus channel.
@IhorMedia3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Marc! I certainly could use uMIDI for that! This is a nice advice! Thank you very much! ✌️
@IhorMedia3 жыл бұрын
I started thinking even further now. I think I could also utilize a MIDI LFO as an inverted envelope and send it into the Modular. Yet another way 😊
@MrMarcLaflamme3 жыл бұрын
@@IhorMedia yeah the DT has a bunch of great tools to send out. Looking forward to your next video 🙂
@IhorMedia3 жыл бұрын
@@MrMarcLaflamme yes it does! I often use MIDI LFOs for modular! And it is especially good for a Minimal Modular when you like “I just need yet another LFO or an envelope”. I am looking forward to the next one myself 😝

Hi Ihor, Where do you buy your Noise Engineering modules in Europe ?
@IhorMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hey. Usually I try to find and buy used. So, some of the modules I got like this. Once though I ordered directly from the US. Somehow it was cheaper even with delivery costs and custom tax. But I got 3 modules in one order, that’s why I think.

I was wondering if anyone had mentioned this yet. The lighting, angles, set style and even gear selection is very very Ricky Tinez. But hey, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! And you whipped up a dope jam there for us to. Good job! The quality level is definitely high. Plus you reminded me that Polaris has a phaser! That's my favorite part of modular videos. Learning of / being reminded of things I need to try on modules I already own.

Definitely no intention to copy Ricky. However thanks to him I am doing it! I just found this format really good for me. Regarding the hardware selection: I was watching his videos a lot and was buying similar stuff before started the channel ;) Phaser is so good in Polaris! It this video I didn't really go deep into it. But it is great! I am putting now Polaris and MUM M8 together into the case and will try Ataraxic with this combination!
