I have seen some of your videos before and now that I am getting out of my beginner level and moving into my novice level I'm doing more things and I am doing a project that the regular bias tape wasn't the right color so had to buy fabric and then bought a bias tape maker. I'm so glad I have watched your videos before because when i saw you I clicked right away. This is the only video I saw that shows how to fold it and cut it. I would have been just cutting straight strips. So I'm convinced I'm going to have to subscribe. Thanks again.

Love your tutorials and you don't waste time by sewing on your machine like so many other people do. We know how to sew and watching others sewing is like watching paint dry [lol]. You get to the point and so very clear at that. I've never heard of this ruler but will order me one now. When I'm cutting binding all those lines on my ruler makes my eyes cross. They won't now. Thanks.

Such an accurate title for this video, "Bias Binding Made Easy". Thank you for your thoughtfulness in showing us from the viewer's point of view how to do the folding and then that tip about cutting that "bump" at the beginning. And that "ruler slide" tip was a little bit of magic :-) Bias binding is my preference for most quilts as it holds up better over time, so that's another Creative Grids ruler to put on wish list. Hope all is going well for you, Laura.

Seems like a great ruler to help with the cutting, but my complaint with bias binding is the sewing the strips together. So, I like the continuous binding method, where you sew the triangle together, then cut apart. I'm sure this ruler would come in handy when marking the cutting lines. Thanks for always showing us the new products in the market. 💝☀🌵

Another very important lesson learned with this video. Using the bias maker marked 25, somehow I thought this might mean 2.5 so I cut my strips 2 1/2". Bias tape just didn't fold right. Wait a minute, go back to video, how did I miss your explanation on what the marking meant. Ironed strip, folded a couple of times, lined up edges very carefully, lined up fantastic ruler, trimmed off a perfect 1/2 inch, ran thru binder maker again, PERFECT BIAS TAPE. By folding fabric your way, my square hole is 10"x10", strips needed were over 40", don't need to join for this project, but will save the rest to trim a little dress. Thanks so much for your videos.

Evil Danielle - it's so lovely you are thinking of finishing your Grandmother's quilt. Staff in fabric stores will be able to advise if you give them the length and width measurements. You may have to sew two narrower strips of cotton fabric together to get the size you want. Calico is a cost effective way of backing your quilt and comes in wider sizes. Don't forget you'll need batting (the squishy middle layer). There are lots of great KZbin tutorials on quilting, including SewVeryEasy of course 😀 Enjoy!

Your folding technique is the best I have found. It is easy to understand, and the angles stay perfect. I had tried the method where you make a skewed tube of fabric and then cut one continuous strip. Making the tube was so confusing, I had to reread the instructions 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 single time, plus the angles didn't stay a true 45°. It's all about ease and accuracy, right?
