i made a skirt and top cut on the bias, when i did the rolled hems i struggled to not stretch the fabric while creating and stitching the hem and now its all wonky. any tips for this?

Hi Katalin, no I didn’t add extra ease to the pattern. However, extra ease could be added to a pattern you’re working with if you want it to have a relaxed feel

JULIET UZOR Thanks, Juliet! I always have an issue with analysis paralysis every time I’m planning on making something. 😬😄 I’m only thinking of making a cami and a halter neck sleeveless top (with armhole facings, have to figure out how to lay that out) on the bias for now and read in some places that people add lots of extra ease. Whereas also read that some people downsized when making patterns designed for the bias as there was way too much ease. Maybe I will just add extra at the seam allowances and very gently pin fit it. Great video. Please I have some questions. My daughter would like to learn how to sew. She is turning 7. Is it too early for her to learn? What would be the best kid sewing machine that is appropriate for her age. Unfortunately there isn't any kids sewing classes for her age in Orpington. Have you considered having a kids sewing school?

I would never interface a bias cut dress with fusible. Better to create bias tape/interfacing from the same fabric, imo
