Bibio - Lost Somewhere (demo)

I don’t normally share demos of released tracks, but the track ‘Lost Somewhere’ had evolved through various versions before settling on the one that made it to the album. The very first version was more of an incomplete demo, and was recorded years before BIB10 (2017 in fact). I often listen to demos and unfinished tracks I’ve recorded going back years, sometimes fresh ideas to develop an unfinished track/demo/sketch can come years after it was originally recorded. This demo of ‘Lost Somewhere’ felt like it had potential to be a good fit for the album. I experimented with playing and singing the song in different keys and experimented with instrumentation and tweaking the lyrics, but I always remained fond of this demo version, even though it is short and sweet and incomplete. I thought sharing a couple of alt versions of this song could be a good substitute for sessions. I’m also sharing another early version of ‘Lost Somewhere’ in a separate video.
