Oh god it all makes sense now. I was starting to think it was all my imagination. You see, the story begins like any other : it was last friday and I was just beating my wife like I always do. That's when a man showed up in a superhero suit with a lightsaber. I asked him who he was, but all he did was quote John 3:16 and kick the shit out of me. He dragged my unconscious body to the authorities and I'm using the prison's break-time computer to type this all out, lol

Here’s my working theory on the poor quality of Christian TV/video media: the overall lack of effort was rooted in the idea that the intended audience wouldn’t have access to anything better to compare it to. Now this mindset is laughably idiotic today but in a pre-internet world with single-TV households, parents could exercise pretty strict control over what their kids watched. And if said parents were frequenting the sort of place that would sell this kind of media, they likely kept all viewing material that wasn’t explicitly Christian to a minimum in their home anyway. Sadly, it doesn’t look like Christian media ever really grew out of such contempt for their audience. And they did try to piggyback off Doom back in the day. Remember Super Noah’s Ark 3D?

That pink babby demon ting deserves ice cream! I think that initial episode was the pilot episode, so the scripture quoting was a way of experimenting. Honestly though, I agree that the quotes should be saved for when it relates to whatever the over-arching theme of the episode is. The bible has ample stories that could easily be relayed alongside modern-day situations. They could do something now. Lose the super hero gimmick and make it relatable to their audience, and I could see something like that becoming popular.

I think the actor for Powersource was genuinely miserable and didn't want to make the show, along with most other people involved in the production, but they needed the quick cash or something. That's why everything feels forced. But I don't even remember where I heard that.

My theory for the fruit scene: The computer AI is so mentally impaired that it couldn’t even figure out the secret ingredient in the splooge juice so blonde twit proceeded to point it out- The AI, now humiliated because a blonde made em look stupid, agreed with her and acted as tho it knew the answer and was waiting to hear her say it. Then the computer, for some unknown reason, put the words ‘rotten fruit’ on the screen in a foreign language just to make blonde twit look smart because potatoes-

While I don't wholly subscribe to the Abrahamic/Christian/Jewish faith(s), I do MAJORLY agree with you on how they should be presented in media. Would take more of what those of these faiths say seriously if they didn't advocate schlock like Bibleman Powersource or the God's Not Dead movies as pinnacles of their faith that ultimately either robotically preach to forcibly make people feel bad or whine about nonexistent problems respectively. I actually have a copy of the Bible and it's an interesting read. Again, not something I wholly subscribe to or believe in, I'm interested in mythology in general, but it's definitely criminal how butchered the presentation of its faith is in media. It really says something when ANIME is better at presenting it then companies and such DIRECTLY CONTROLLED AND STARTED by Christians. Hell, Veggie Tales, which takes a bit more after Jewish tradition than Christian from what I remember and is mentioned in this video, is a universally better representation of its faith. The Original Bibleman Show definitely fits in that pitifully small boat with it. Why isn't there more media like these two? Because the ones that shout the loudest and throw their money away the most are the holier-than-thou, self-righteous, persecution complex riddled, sociopathic babies that want to seem like and be seen as victims that should be coddled and celebrated for doing nothing at all and allowed to coax by in life at the expense of everyone else. The part of the group that people see and hear the most of, and ultimately why they rib and poke fun at them too. Doesn't help that they keep trying to force their faith into politics either.
