If you examine the OT prophecies of the Bible, it will take FAR more faith to be an atheist than a believer in Christ. The entire story of Israel the last 2300+ years is foretold in the OT, including its total destruction in 70 AD by Rome, the 1900+ year diaspora of the Jews into all nations, and the modern rebirth of Israel as a nation in 1948 AD following WW2. The fact that Gentile (non-Jewish) nations reformed her (The UN), the fact that they STILL reject Christ as their Messiah, etc. The entire story of Jesus being their Messiah, being rejected, crucified and resurrecting on the 3rd day, the fact that instead of the Jews, Gentiles from across the whole world would instead make up most of His body (Chruch) for the next 2000 years, then the return of many Jews to the Holy L:and and becoming a prospering nation and regional world power, plus so many other details. ALL of this plus much more clearly foretold through the OT prophets from Moses through Malachi. These things are totally impossible, yet they are 100% REAL and have came to pass the last 2500 years. Secular history proves this.

Been a year so super long reply but I thought I'd give a shout out. I'm a Christian but I decided I would would research atheist videos on KZbin to see if I was lying to myself about God. Atheism has a lot of convincing points about the flaws in Christianity. The comment about how the theme is man shouldn't make their own morals is problematic because it implies questioning values is wrong. It's a good way to control people. Maybe I'll end up an atheist too, maybe you'll join me in Christianity, only God knows (or doesn't lol).

I've never been a non-believer per se, but at the same time I've not exactly been committed either. I recently changed my mind about all of it; pledged to make every effort to stop sinning, repent and seek forgiveness; ...and finally... to get reading. I do find some of the Bible hard to digest, not because it's the Bible, but because I have a mind that tends to wander when reading (regardless of the material)! Nevertheless, I will persist, and your channel gives me a wonderful foundation for more detailed reading of the Bible. Thank you very much... Subscribed, obviously :-)

Phil R I hope you see the Lord not only as to fear but that He is a God who loves you unconditionally despite all the sin we do. Remember that the sin does not define us, but deeper understanding and love for God will help to battle temptation. It's difficult for us all. The wonderful thing about Christianity compared to other faiths is that our God knows clearly that being sinless is impossible when we have free thinking/will to do whatever we want (this is why Jesus came down to mend this). Salvation is not achieved from doing good works for Him but simply accepting Him as your God and Saviour. :) I find it too good to be true sometimes haha.

Phil R we can't stop sinning, that's not what the Bible says. We sin and we repent, but we will continue to sin until we die, the difference is that our sin will cause us grief , but in the world sin is motive for gratification .

april dustin The bible doesn't say that at all. In fact is says exactly what you say it doesn't. But alas. lets cut into a new brother on fire for the Lord who desires righteousness and holiness and tell him to go ahead and sin "take and eat, you surely wont die."

Genesis one divides the year into summer (light over darkness) and winter (darkness over light). During the first day (month March) of summer, God (the summer Ram) divided "between the light and between the darkness" (marginal reading), i.e., he made the days and nights of equal length = twelve hours each. He dried the waters off the earth during the second day (month April), leaving the ground fit for cultivation. During the third day (month May), he made the grass grow, when the cattle are turned loose to feed on it. The Sun, having gained his highest point (summer solstice) in the heavens during the fourth day, when he made the Sun and Moon, ruled the day; i.e., the longest day of the year. At this time, too, God, or Aries, having gained his zenith at sunrise, becomes the Most High God, i.e., the Most High Ram. The Moon, being at her full in the eastern horizon at sunset, of course gave light by night, i.e., shone all that night. On the fifth day (month July), God brought forth insects, creeping things, etc., which we all know nourish best at this time. During the sixth day (month August, the ingathering month), God made the " beasts of the earth " and cattle, and lastly man, i.e., in addition to his daily food, God gave man his winter supplies, if he were not too lazy, like gather them. Thus, it happened that all animals, man not excepted, had become sleek and fat, and were, of course, prepared to breast the hardships of the coming winter. "Thus, the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them," i.e., the six summer months had passed away. "On the seventh day (month September), God ended his work which he had made," i.e., he ripened the fruits which had attained their growth during the previous six months, "and he rested on the seventh day (month September) from all his work which he had made" (Gen. 2:1, 2). That is, we are to understand, God (EI), or the group of stars called Aries (" stars of God," Isa. xiv, 13), which was always, during the six months of summer, somewhere above the horizon at sunrise, and successively corresponded to each of these summer months, in its turn, now went below the horizon, or set in the west at the approach of day, i.e., Aries or God got on the side of the earth opposite to that of the sun, and so became a night constellation. The Sun and Aries, being thus rudely disjoined by the intervention of the earth, cease their labor! Thereafter Aries, the poor Ram, gropes his way through the darkness of Egypt, or winter, in order to rejoin the Sun, his spouse, at the following spring equinox. Meanwhile the poor disconsolate Sun, bitterly bewailing his (the Ram's) loss, the great tears rolling down his cheeks (the rainy season then began), exclaims with David (Ps. xxii, 1), and our dear Savior (Matt, xxvii, 46), "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani," i.e., literally, " my Ram, my Ram, why hast thou forsaken me. I suspect the "certain Bible concepts have always baffled me" are the parts that deserve your criticism if you were willing to exercise critical thinking. Instead you block your own intelligence and apply faith which is "strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof." Wikipedia. The Bible is TOTALLY man made and the Jesus story is an embellished version of an apocalyptic preacher that was executed by the authorities for "stirring up the people" and blaspheming against Yahweh. The prophesied return of Jesus at the end times has been debated for two thousand years. Nothing so far.

Honestly i am so so grateful for these videos and the rest of them I will eventually watch after this. I have been struggling my whole entire life (not raised in a religious household so I basically have zero knowledge) to read the Bible because I cannot understand it at all unless it’s broken down and taught to me. This was extremely helpful and cool. Thank you so much for doing your part. I’m sure that it is going to help me do mine now. Thank you thank you thank you. Most importantly Thank you Father & Thank you Jesus. 🙌🏽

Wow the Bible is so AMAZING! I’ve read this myself and got a whole different summary. It’s so cool how we can all reflect on what we read in a totally different but completely meaningful way! The Bible HAS TO BE 100% true and history because of how true and meaningful it is. You can read it over and over and get something useful in a positive way from it! Also you can speak to other people and listen to their summary of what they have read and it will also show you very useful things… The authors of the Bible are the absolute best writers of all time! I love to read, and very recently I have gone back to the Bible and read it for myself as an adult and it’s by far the MOST USEFUL AND AMAZING BOOK I have ever read! This is the first time in my entire life I really feel God working in my soul! It’s so indescribable when God opens your mind and heart to understanding! I was a heroin addict for many years I’ve gotten clean and relapsed over and over. I have to say in the past year or so God starting giving me visions about what was to come and I honestly thought I was losing my mind. In fact, I was actually living in Gods wrath and it’s a very scary place! I have always cried to the Lord for help. I always felt alone, I never heard anything back, I never understood/believed people when they spoke of their own supernatural, Earth moving spiritual experiences… I lived hoping there was a God but proclaiming atheism because I was angry that God didn’t love me like He did the people who had the “experiences”. I had to decide to start loving myself a little bit in order to start actually seeing and understanding God! Praise Jesus, I finally really started putting all kinds of things together and I realized that God was showing me the TRUTH. He has taken my fear from me, which I suffered in for such a long time. I now understand “God is always on time”!

Genesis is almost completely symbolism. I don't even think the "fruit" in Genesis is actually a real thing, but the works of good and evil. the evil separating them from God.

These are probably the best videos to get introduced to the Bible so when I read me to find out as much as a can. I'm want to be a writer of fiction writer more specifically a writer of Fantasy worlds and the best inspiration for writing is to watch read and learn as much as possible. The best way to write fictional worlds, history, cultures, and Religions is to study real-life ones. You can never know too much. I just got started with Greek Mythology and Shintoism, now I'm gonna learn about Christianity

Does it still include the part where a perfect God must destroy his perfect creation because it is imperfect?
@dcfreak325 жыл бұрын
@@JamesRichardWiley I don't understand how can God be perfect since he screwed up since the beginning. He created imperfect humans at his own image. How does that make any sense?
@mordec10165 жыл бұрын
Alexie Toledo God cannot create perfect beings, since only God is perfect and it's impossible to creare another God. God creates humans with free will, knowing they could sin, but they were supposed to use their free will for good. But humans freely chose to sin, instead. God keeps calling and hoping that people will abandon sin, choose Him, and live virtuously. God did not screw up, He could not do any better since His plan involves free creatures; He wants people to freely be good, but freedom also comes with the risk that they will be evil instead.

You guys changed my life. I have found my way back to god. I came to this series to gain some understanding on why my brother was saying jesus is real the bible is real with such passion, we both grew up Christians and turned away as teenagers, I am now 40, and I think I was being called back. Because when I listened to every single summary you have on every book of the bible including the torah because i was interested, i could no longer deny this book. I think with life experience comes understanding and still remembering these stories from my childhood as i went through the videos, they just hit differently as an adult, I am ashamed I turned away. I see what we have become because we turned away from god. I am ashamed my oldest child was raised without god, although i am working on introducing god to all my children, i have 2 more that I will be teaching about god. The word is the truth. Anyone who actually reads it with understanding cant deny that. Thank you guys so much.
