Each Christian should grow in spiritual maturity to the point that they can be a teacher in the circumstances God has placed them. Spiritually immature babies can only drink the milk of the word. Strong meat belongs to mature Christians who by use and practice in the word of God train their spiritual senses to discern good and evil.

Thank you for your video. Can I ask you about James 3:1 [1] Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. Is this speaking of a different type of teaching role?

@@ashleyodell3778 Yes, the two places (Hebrews 5:12-14 and James 3:1) are talking about different things. Hebrews is talking about the responsibility that each Christian has to grow up in the faith so that in the normal conversations of life they can accurately give what God’s word says in order to help others. James is talking about the gift of teaching given by the Holy Spirit for teaching the church. It must be used carefully.
