I really appreciate you doing this series. And for giving a 2 year update. Please keep doing updates. I ruptured my pec tendon 13 years ago. And now I have A/C joint osteoarthritis, a long head biceps bucket handle tear, and posterior labrum tear. So I am getting a distal clavicle resection, bicep tenodesis, and labrum repair. The pain has finally caught up to me. I am a massage therapist and enjoy weightlifting but now find I am having to adjust both too much and I am in constant "discomfort". At 41 years old I am worried that I might have to retire from massage therapy if this surgery doesn't fix my problem. Also, recovery will be a long process. Anyhow, you rock for making such helpful videos. Thank Scott

I love seeing this video. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow and I have to say.. I'm jealous of seeing that kettle bell press. I can't lift my arm that high right now and I miss having my range of motion. I have a slap 2 tear and am in continuous pain now. Ready to do whatever will fix it (have had two shots that didn't last and can't do many exercises now d/t the pain). It's great to see someone doing so well afterwards.

Excellent video just stumbled upon. I didn’t see any of the previous videos to this one. Would you agree that certain exercises will feel slightly different now that the long head tendon is tenodesis to the humurus so as only the short head of the biceps will be activated such as a “SLOW” time under tension “STRICTLY” performed pull-down exercise in either palm position and a strict time under tension machine row ??? The incision scar indicates a low in the bicipital groove surgical repair…was a high in the groove arthroscopic repair an option at the time of your surgery ??? Not that the scar really matters. There are plenty of You tube videos with computerized images showing tenodesis and it seems that many surgeons advocate/prefer high in the groove all arthroscopic repairs….

It is and so hard to find the progress... Most content is from heavyweight lifters like @LarryWheels & #EddieHall who then stop showing a detail side series on their recovery to this date so far. It would be good if they spoke on how they felt about the process and what would they change now they know more.

Late to the game here: When did your pain stop? I am currently 10 weeks post biceps tenodesis. Post PT pain is high enough that it keeps me awake and have pain throughout the day. Surgeon communication has sucked so figured I would try sourcing some other peoples experiences in when pain went away.

Unfortunately I still have pain in the front and back of my shoulder which hopefully gets resolved with PRP shots.... no I refused the steriod shots because I wanted to be fixed rather than just pain relief.. some doctors said I didn't need the surgery and the doctor that did the surgery said I definitely needed it if I wanted to be as close to 100% as possible.
