The Democratic Party is still too naive to recognize when they're being played for fools by greedy cutthroats, even ones within their own party merely pretending to be Democrats. Let's be real here. Manchin is a Republican. He's received the most donations from the oil industry, and his family wealth comes from the coal industry. And like the GOP, he is clearly putting his own wealth and the wealth of his billionaire donors ahead of all else. His name is MANSION, for crissakes. He's also a Senator for WEST VIRGINIA. Switzerland doesn’t use the Euro, but the prices for tourists attractions (like “Swiss alps vacations”) are established for European tourists in the first place. Moreover, the Swiss francs is mostly on the same situation (it’s around 1=chf=1€=1$), meaning Swiss people are more likely to take advantage of the low euro and spend their vacation on other European countries (making even more convenient for all touristic attraction to aim for European and American tourists). So the low Euro may still affect the price from an American perspective. But yes, we’re both annoying and obnoxious persons for pointing out this kind of things😂

Joe Manchin is an example of that. Like don't agree to pledge support and help to strengthen the economy and then retreat the moment we need your support. But to that, I will say Biden is dealing with a major clean up right now. The only reason I'm being patient with him is because there's a lot to deal with - abortion, gas, economy, environment, finances. And it doesn't help Republicans have been a mastermind in manipulation with Roe v. Wade a prime example of political power. All I'm saying is FIGHT BACK. He can do this because his real views match the Republican party on their agenda and gives him the leverage by holding the democrats hostage. So he is not going to be reasonable on this as it hurts his bottom line and he doesn't care who it hurts or about America unless he needs to pretend he does to cover his own greed and what he claims are his constituents views. Either he should run as a Republican or he needs to be voted out of office by his constituents if they are really democrats because only two democrats vote this way and they are not being moderate and they are both corrupt. Ngl, I think the subscription base for cars is bs. I paid for the car to have heated seats, why do I have to pay more to use what I already bought? The heat-coils are already in there if I can't automatically use it what's the point? Feels like you go to a grocery store to buy an apple, but then you gotta pay a fee if you wanna be able to eat the apple. Or imagine a recliner, but you have to have to pay a subscription to be able to actually recline, like what's the point besides literal money grabbing? This is just greed; I paid for it lemme use it. It's a luxury but how pricey does a luxury really need to be?
@ObsessiveSting2 жыл бұрын
At first they will frame it as a choice for a subscription so you appear to save money up front. Then they will remove the option for buying heated seats up front and just try to change over to purely subscription model if enough people buy this bs. After they do then they have an excuse to do it with more options that you can opt not to pay for. Eventually they will have you paying for your car forever rather than just almost forever just so you can use it. As you said it is just greed and greed never stops wanting more if it can get it.
@kingsmarvel13892 жыл бұрын
The idea is for people that didn’t put heated seats as an option on their car. When someone else purchases it, they can pay to use it rather than not having heated seats cos the original owner never included it. It’s not for people that already have it as an option from the factory.
@ObsessiveSting2 жыл бұрын
@@kingsmarvel1389 If someone buys a car without heated seats option then they usually do not have heated seats physically installed in that car. Heated seats are not just in every car automatically and they are hooked up or not before sale. So unless production has changed so that they are built into every car or they are not which includes buttons and wiring as well as the heating unit in the seats and special insulated material this is not going to apply to everyone. And if you do use this subscription you basically are saying you don't own those options but they do and they make the rules on if you can use them. How long until they charge more for those heated seats to be on? How about when they expand this to air conditioning? Does someone who buys a used car with these restricted options now have to sign up for them even if the company does not make that model anymore or are they just out of luck? Are their hidden fee's or other terms to this subscription so they can gouge you? And if you do pay for the option to be always on up front how much are they going to gouge you for it considering they want you to subscribe? This is predatory and they know it and it is sneaky because they frame it like a choice but it is a bad choice. Pay more than the option is worth up front or pay even more under a subscription contract over time to have it turned on later.

People really need to stop freaking out about a potential recession. First off the "inflation" that has been happening is actually corporate price gouging with the blame going on oil costs, they made record profits last year and their production costs didn't jump as much as consumer prices so it wasn't actually inflation. Second the average length of a recession is about 6 months, and we generally don't know we are in one until it's basically over. 2008 was a big problem in many industries, but we should be OK as long as they lower prices and keep producing because people will keep consuming if their budgets allow them to. That being said we still need to do something about corporate greed, and sadly as usual Republicans claim big business is their bestest friend so they won't do anything. The growing inequality gap is a serious problem, and one that needs multiple approaches to solve asap...

Let me give you a big piece of the puzzle as to why: You have an object worth 1 and I come along telling you I will pay 2... do you take 1 or 2? Not knowing your answer, but how the world works, most have just created 100% inflation within that market. Now realize real world markets are filled with people asking for 2 when the value is 1... prices will always go up. So many Americans I have talked to fight me tooth and nail on this simple fact, that it actually bothers me. Instead of grasping that the very core of inflation is someone asking for 2 when they know the object is worth 1, they try and point to things like wages being the problem (Brainwashing is hard over here), and all other free market concepts that are ripe for profiteering. So filled with excuses as to why asking for 2 is actually better for the market in the long run.... So always look at the price and wonder how much that mark up is, cause that's inflation! Wonder if I can get many heads to explode: Do you think Americans can grok the concept of Capitalism without Profit?
