Anyone who has any training in geriatric care has seen the signs: changes in gait, changes in speech patterns (diction, cadence, corresponding facial expressions, etc), memory episodes, storytelling, angry outbursts, the tendency for those closest to the patient making excuses to "explain away" the declines, and more.. Many people have called this out for most of his term, but they were either ignored or insulted. But, to focus on the main point of your question - he managed because those around him were complicit. They ARE complicit. If he hasn't been capable enough to lead or make decisions, then there are so many more questions that should come to light if we value our system of governance at all.

There have been too many visits, meetings, commissions, briefings, and other face-to-face exposures to simply write this off as a fluke. It seems that this is an intentional operation designed to fool the voters (and the world) by hiding the real facts of the situation. Military staff, government employees, international delegates, and cabinet officials have definitely seen more evidence than the little bit we've seen as a "commoner". If any of us forced an elderly relative to maintain this type of ruse, we'd be investigated by the state elder abuse ombudsman (at the least). 1989 gave us, "Weekend at Bernie's". What was supposed to be a comedy seems to have been used by this administration as a "how to" video.

His policies made quick work of that. 2) the price of gas isn't set by the president. It's set by the owners of the fuel cartels. When Trump absolutely beefed the covid 19 response. You know when it went down? And he did so by negotiating with the alquaeda to release war criminals, which is why everywhere else has seen the war on terror explode. And he "closed" the borders by creating concentration camps where he would sterilize people attempting to LEGALLY file for asylum, or else interring children. He also did so by defunding the courts intended to figure out who of that group was coming in with the intent to do harm. So you're either wrong *and* lying, or youre just wrong. Which is it?

Tell me another story about your father. A formative experience from your childhood. Or maybe the first time you won an argument against him. Or the time he took you to work with him. Or tell me what made you take him to the doctor that led to his diagnosis, how long it took until the disease consumed him. Just remember, I've watched members of my own family die from the disease and am quite familiar with its pathology. You've already screwed it up once but, I said I'd indulge you.
