As being a father it becomes natural for you to teach your children how to do the simplest things in order for them to become independent. This knowledge helps you train or teach your employees the skills you want them to develop while explaining that the work they do is how they get paid. Also teach the more efficient they are the more money that can be made for the company to share. And always give credit for a good day’s work. (I have watched you do this you are on the right path) be sure to thank God for your blessings.

About what you’re saying training your employees I am a carpenter by trade and run CNC machinery to build cabinetry and live edge tables and on the weekends I do tree work. I had an injury four weeks ago, where the porter wrap I was using took the weight of an 800 pound limb due to the fact that my helper let go of his rope that ran through crotch and wrapped around another tree putting all 800 pounds on a single rope held by another helper to block in canopy shearing the strap holding bollard on tree, bollard under tension shot up ricocheting off of limb hitting me in the ankle so I’ve been training another carpenter/employee how to run the machinery while I’m down so to what you’re saying, you need to train your guys even in case of an injury. Its awesome to see how your life has taken the turn for the positive, you seem like an awesome employer but at the same time remaining “One of the guys” keep up the good work and continue to have fun!

I watched anither channel and a 16 yr old was climbing a tree. When his limb had tied and was falling it caught his rope and yanked him off his spurs!! Thankfully he was tied in and had no injuries. I was so upset that the owner of the channel & business said nothing was done wrong! How can that be?? I immediately thought if that was you it wouldnt have happened!!

I have a long winded maple tree and morel mushroom story. My mom owns an acre of land that her house sits on. She owns five 65 year old maple trees. I mow for her. You pull in the asphalt driveway and in the middle there is a section to turn your car around. There is one maple tree about 4 feet from the end of that asphalt. The roots have grown up and you can't take a riding mower over them or even a push mower. I have to use the weedeater. I kept telling myself to get a bunch of fill dirt and fill in between all those roots. One day the city tree trimming crew pulled in to top three trees to the right of her yard so they didn't hit the power lines. They did a great job especially in cleaning up. So when they got to the last tree there was sawdust everywhere. Over ankle deep. I told them not to rake it up and I would mash it down with the hose and some dirt and spread lawn seed. They mashed it down for me and spread some green coating all over it so grass would grow. It looked really nice. So I watered it every day for two weeks. Then I went to water the grass seed and I saw something and thought "what in the hell?". There in that patch was at least 3 dozen of those morel mushrooms. I know them by sight but I hate mushrooms. I called a friend and asked him to come over to my house so we could go pick mushrooms. He told me that mushroom season in Ohio was over. I told him I have a patch with about 3 dozen so he came over. He got out of his car and I was sitting in the garage. I told him we'd need a few plastic sacks to put the mushrooms in. We started walking towards my car and he opened the passengers car door. I said "What are you doing?". He said "I thought you were driving". I said "nope come over here". So he walked over to that big tree and his eyes bout buggered out. "What in the tarnation" he said. I told him the story and about them seeding the layer of sawdust and me watering. He picked all the mushrooms up and took them home to soak in water. He was absolutely flabberghasted when he saw those mushrooms. He took a few into work so people would believe they were fresh and growing season in Ohio was long over with. My mom lives in the city but on the outskirts. NO mushroom has ever grown on her property or any city property that I was aware of. I got a half a dozen estimates to cut down those five maple trees. $15k was the cheapest estimate. Wow. For $15k I can rent a lift truck, a chipper and buy a brand new chain saw for the job. I'd hire a crew to help out and pay them really well and still save $10k. First time here. This was a very enjoyable video to watch, thanks!

Man I grew up with a cabin in the Paradise valley area of the warm lake section of the East fork of the South fork of the salmon river. Nobody who hasn't worked in the timber industry can understand what the appeal is about the smell of fresh-cut wood and whether it's been cut by axe or saw it is something that has an appeal which is transcendent. I went on to work at a lumber mill in Emmett that was the wood products Mill of Boise Cascade in Emmett idaho. My whole life I have loved the smell of fresh cut timber and it brings me back to those days when I could cut half a cord in a de chop a half a cord and carry most of it in and stack it in the band by the fireplace. I'm old and broken now and my evil stepmother and her clan have taken the cabin and I could no more cut and Carrie Wood then I could fly. Had my back broken in the service. Which ironically I got no compensation for. But that doesn't matter because when I watch your chains bite into that wood I can feel the smell of the freshly cut wood. I watch your channel and I pray you all stay safe and I hope you know that there are those of us out here with pitch for blood who would give anything to be with you. Most importantly be safe and keep it up because we can't watch what you do anywhere else. God bless you and thank you for your incredible talent with that saw. Doc

That Cedar was a really cool looking tree. To bad it had to go. Would love to have a tree like that in my back lawn. We had an 80 foot yellow pine in the back lawn about 20 foot from the house but it was starting to split out about 20 foot up where it had grown 2 tops and it was starting to sway in the wind more than I liked. Lucky I took it out when I did because it was split rite down the middle clean down to the root ball under the bark. Lots of water came out when I put my under cut in.

Those trees are not native to Northwest, they’re Asian mountain trees. In the rains of Oregon and Washington they grow like rockets. Limbs the size of 15-30 inch diameter and they are extremely dangerous when old. Oh, and they also dump tons of needles. Those trees suck.
