To be honest the days where the US market dictated an artist’s fate might be coming to the end. Some of the UK rappers got far better following numbers than most US rapper out of the top 5. They sell and stream better in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. You probably won’t hear a UK accent on US media but once you leave the states it’s a different ball game.

The last great crop of rappers were from the 2010s.
