I'm guessing this your first FPS so I'm sure it was a lot to take in , and different kinds of machines than you're used to ,so glad you're getting this opportunity !!! Not to long ago the show was at a different location every year usually a small group of cooperating farmers and the buildings were put up just for the show and the streets and "city"were in the middle of fields ! Don't know if you'd been to the Midwest before but certainly different than Montana ! I've just passed through Montana and it's a whole different world too!The manager Matt is actually married to a good family friend of ours ! I just started watching your channel this month. Facinating to watch the combines harvesting wheat. Looks like a presentation right out of National Geographic. I can't help but think of my Grandfather on his 180 tillable acres on a Ford 9N and a two blade furrow plow pulling all day through red clay of north Alabama. He saw a no-till machine operate on one of his rented fields; spray, planting seed all at once in 1983. He said then he lived long enough to see it all. Seeing your machinery Case IH says it all of advancements. I grew up in south Jersey across from a dairy farm using JD tractors and attachments for animal corn and alfalfa. Vegetables dominated many others farms of sweet corn and tomatoes. Much of these has left years ago for Texas and California with controlable irrigation. Surprisingly, wheat has a bigger presence now in Jersey. Congrats on the Case IH deal. Best wishes.

I would love to drive that tractor you was driving at the beginning of the video. The biggest piece of equipment I’ve ever operated was a D8 Caterpillar bulldozer. But I’ve never sat in a tractor as big as that.

My one & only farm progress show was in 1968 around there I thin, I was a little bitty town, farm kid I mostly stood & looked with my open. All the newest & biggest from all brands, they shelled the corn then chopped the stocks. Them they mole board plowed, all that black dirt, I asked why , they told me they had to fall plow so the freeze thaw would loosen the soil for spring planting. Over 50 yrs ago & I can still see all that equipment moving was amazing.

I have been working on Farm's and plantation's for a very long time. In ARKANSAS one of the biggest things we grow there is WATERMELONS and they need TONS! of water to grow. RICE fields (called rice patties) practically grows under WATER! There's no way you can over water them. COTTON also as well grows really good with lots of water as well, but on the other hand PECANS GROW BETTER IN DROUGHTS then they do in wet conditions (don't ask me how but that's the way it is, go figure). One of the plantation's I worked on we had one CASE TRACTOR on it. We call them RIVER BOTTOM TRACTORS because they are so huge,all the others were also RIVER BOTTOM TRACTORS But the difference between the CASE (which we only had just the 1) the others were INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER also RIVER BOTTOM TRACTORS as well, the CASE had a closed cab (AIR-CONDITIONED) the others were INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER with OPEN-CABS (not good for staying dry if it rains or Snow's), but like the BIG-BUD they were all big enough to go through DEEP-WATER without sinking, (their large enough they float in water) just like a MONSTER 4x4. FARM-WORK is not for everyone, because like I have said before if you tell the farm owner your wanting to work for (1) You want a BACK-BRACE (2) You can't lift 5-pounds (3) You demand $15 an hour (4) You demand a break every 2-hours. I CAN DEFINITELY GUARANTEE YOU ARE NOT GONNA LAST EVEN 2-MINUTES, before everybody is laughing at you, and the farm-owner Tell's you to go back to the BIG-CITY and calls you names like: WIMP, PANSY, PANTY-WAIST, SISSY-FIED, and that's just some of the things you will be known as. There's a lot of other things that you will be thought of that I can't put on here because they're obscene words and phrases. And you work from SUNRISE- SUNSET all year long. And going on hauling Hay each one of those SQUARE-BALES weigh as little as 75-pounds each! ROUND BALES ARE MOVED with a TRANSLATOR with a 8- foot long spike on the back of the TRACTOR. A person is not gonna pick up a ROUND BALE BY HAND because those weigh about 800-pounds each, even ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER isn't that strong, unless you want a HERNIA don't even try it. I was a "HOME-LESS PERSON" the whole year of 2018 so I know FIRSTHAND what it feels like to be HOMELESS. But also unfortunately here in Ft WORTHLESS TEXICO, the HOMELESS POPULATION here is worse than ALL OF THE PLACES I HAVE BEEN IN, IN MY ENTIRE LIFE COMBINED. And as well I have heard or seen STUPID stuff like: IF YOU'RE A HOMELESS PERSON, YOU ARE GOING TO BE ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING or VAGRANCY, or IF YOU ARE SEEN LIVING IN A TENT WHILE IT IS RAINING OUTSIDE (especially if you are HOMELESS) YOUR TENT WILL BE CONFISCATED AND YOU WILL GO TO JAIL.
