BIG BEN- RIVER THAMES- LONDON EYE | London Opening Back up

Join me on a walking tour of London's Southbank along to see the London Eye/ Millennium Wheel. An icon from the turn of the 2000 millennium here in London and a great tourist thing to do in the city. We then take a stroll over Westminster Bridge to see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. (plus a significant amount of scaffolding!) Plus a stop off to see the amazing Westminster Abbey, giving me Royal Wedding feels all over again!

Hello Hannah, love your upbeat vlogs , it’s so sad to see many places closed, theatres etc am 60 years old and feel for the younger people trying to get on with there lives it can’t be easy Did my world travels so have that feel good feeling don’t need to travel again , still remember in my miss spent youth being on canal boat Camden Town and got bored with the tour so just jumped off and swan to shore , as yes those were the days ,😳🤣😩😩

Ahhh this is a nice one. you see, I'm catching up... haha. I like that walk too. Done it a few times. The Embankment at night is lovely, and if you put on London by Night, Frank Sinatra as you walk along there with all the little lights, it's quite lovely. Never done NYE in that location, and never would. did it in Trafalgar one year and they had speakers out.... only... they failed and a police said "sorry guys, it's happened already". And I never knew they installed a lift on the Tower! My goodness. I mean it's obvious, but still, you don't think of it. Like you, I have been on the Wheel a few times. But it is expensive. Kind of once done, don't need to do it again.

I hope you get to visit Westminster Abbey one day. They have an audio tour which is a must do. It’s fascinating to see all of the kings and queens who are buried there.
