@kwilliamson10963 жыл бұрын
@@leeahammon5661 Exactly what I was thinking. Probably a combination of a warm spring day, being cooped up in a small pen and the smell of fresh mowed grass. Big Joe and the girls came to the Ranch on approximately November 15th 2020, at least that's when the video was posted. So I assume this is Joe's first time experiencing fresh mowed grass. From what I read some animals can smell fresh mowed grass up to a mile away.

Better than the dried up garbage hay in the feeder. I used to bale up grass hay as green as i could just before the crunch, that way it didnt mold and store it tight, but it was still so fresh the cows would rub on it because the grass smell was so strong. They would eat it through winter and it wouldnt go brown

I have often lamented being born in the age we live in, always wishing I could have been a mountain man. Think how much this big guy would have loved having a whole prairie to roam in. Nice to be able to see him up close, but this is not what he was made for. Look at that energy that wants to run. The pioneers said that the ground literally shook when a herd of a thousand or more passed by. And, to think, not one four-lane concrete highway in the country.

🤗🤗🤗. Love your speaking voice Dusty but this video only featuring the sounds of Big Joe was awesome. Of course nothing beats Brooke and those sweet baby sounds 😘😘. My gramps had a bull that would do the goofiest things hearing lawn mower and smelling fresh cut grass. It only took one whiff and he’d even try to jump over fence otherwise he was chilled but that grass got him started doing the same as Big Joe. Hope ya have money saved IF ya can get Big Joe in any part of your corral system. Just saying that’s ONE BIG Bison bull and and nothing will hold up to his strength and size. Should be interesting and may have to make sure he’s last so can work the rest of the herd before he destroys it. Will doc Parsons help this time? Could he give him a tranquilizer just to keep him calmer so could get his weight at least? Someone must have had a bull his size that could help with ideas. Loved this special video just hearing the sounds they make while checking out that green grass on other side of fence. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Brooks is going to be used to the Bison being raised from her first memories. It reminds me of our great niece. We went to a hockey game with our niece and they had box seats with the plexiglass where I could touch it. I was holding her as she’s just learning to stand. She had her little hand on the plexiglass exactly where the puck hit and then WHAM two players crashed into it at the same time and the fight broke out! Crash crash crash! She just squealed and laughed and loved it! Me on the other hand almost jumped the rail behind me! Every time she went she was like that. A couple of players came out during break to see her cause she was so cute and they loved her. They held out their arms and the child who was picky about who she went to went straight to both these big men in their giant padded uniforms and helmets. Amazing what children adjust to!
