When MP started to cry with the launch in sight I started to cry. And I am a 60 year old man! I think we are all so invested in these two that you just can't help to feel so attached. Every episode ends with a thank you and acknowledgment of their subscribers and patreons. I feel so lucky to have stumbled on such a genuine couple doing something absolutely incredible! I have been anxiously awaiting the antifouling and paint. This is getting serious now. Can’t wait to see Yaba all decked out in her sailing motif, ready for the journey. I must say though, watching the retrofit, challenges and developments along this long adventure has not been as wonderful as seeing the growth in MP and Ben! You two have grabbed all of our hearts and we are entranced in your story. Truly, truly appreciate your sharing these …years… with all of us. Yaba is now a very beautiful, strong, and seaworthy vessel, and all because of you two. You should be extraordinarily proud! Go celebrate this milestone 🎉

I would recommend to use two mppt trackers ans ave two strings os panels, that wayy your losses due to shading by the sail or mast are greatly reduced and you have some redundancy in case a charger breaks.

It has been a joy watching you two and the crew making such progress. I do suggest having the panels in parallel with 2 circuits, one on each side of the boom since shade on one side will limit the output on the sunny side as well. Especially when the sail is up.

Wonderful to see the family team work applying the pre-antifouling paint. I do hope Ben & MP go and extend their learning, on Electrics, marine engines, management, planning and lots of things. Some qualifications, will accelerate their ability to learn and understand a variety of problems. No only will they be vital in maintaining Yaba going forward, but they are valuable skills allowing them access employment, create own business and acquire more knowledge. The ability to acquire knowledge, and apply it effectively is far more valuable than a university degree alone. I employ graduates, and it takes many, many years for them to become capable, even with an apparently 'relevant' qualification. So, invest in yourselves and build new durable, scalable, projects for your futures.
