Bbcan 11 was so frustrating to watch because i felt like we had really strong players and really strong females in particular but ty dominated povs so much that the other players had to play under the assumption that Ty would win pov

Claudia messed it up for them all. People blame Ty but it was Claudia at the DE who fucked it. Especially because Ty *didn't* just win out in the endgame, it was her who saved him at points.

Originally watching BBCAN11 I despised Claudia's game so much, but in retrospect, I do think she should have won BBCAN11. A lot of arguments made for Ty's winning game involves him beasting out comps - but his poor positioning and social game put himself in that position to begin with. Claudia never needed to do that because her social game was impeccable - at one point she was aligned with every single person in the final 6/7. Essentially, the jury rewarded ty's poor positioning (which forced him to win out comps) and penalized claudia's good positioning (where she had to turn on alliances). I'll also never forget how icky it was for Ty to try and get hope expelled the second him/Zach were in trouble by leveraging the letter as "cheating", to which he almost quit the game because production didn't let him and Zach dictate who should be expelled. I genuinely, GENUINELY, think if Claudia happened to be a man, she would have won. For some reason, when a man is aligned with everyone and betrays them - it's good game play (think Tychon BBCAN9 - betrayed Jed AND beth only to go to final 2 with someone who's entire alliance was sitting on the jury - but still Ty won?). But when Claudia does it, she is a villain, puppet, bad gameplayer etc. Maybe it's not solely down to a gender bias but I think there is definitely something deeper there

She looked like a total idiot to the jury by taking Ty over Daniel. That already is reason enough to vote him, and I don't even like him. Also her safety was largely since she was perceived (rightly or wrongly) as a goat. It it like saying Natalie T from Survivor was kept safe by her social game.
@whosthatpanda79358 ай бұрын
The problem with Claudia is that she saved Ty and took him to the Final 2. People bash on Ty for "winning out" but he didn't, Claudia backstabbed her own allies to prioritise Ty (both intentionally and unintentionally at points). She got manipulated, and I have to give that credit to Ty as to why she prioritised his game over her own. Yes Claudia did make moves but she made ones which weren't in her best interest and disadvantaged her. It's not misogyny she didn't win, it was just bad gameplay, and gameplay which was really hard to watch considering how women dominated most of the season. Ty also didn't play well but the fact Claudia was seen as "playing for" Ty sealed her fate - they voted for him despite the fact he was very disliked!

Claudia also got very lucky at the final 5 when Ty tricked Anika into keeping him off the block. Anika wanted to put him and Claudia up together, so that she and Daniel could make sure either her or Ty would go home that week. But since Ty talked himself off the block (via comp threats), he was able to use the veto to take Claudia down, and force Anika to put up Daniel with Renee, ruining their plans that week. Without Ty's game move at the final 5, Claudia goes that round Plus, Kuzie was very bitter with the Girly Pops, and she practically owned Hope and Jonathan's jury votes. Claudia probably couldn't win a single final 2 scenario once she sent home Shanaya in the DE.

I agree with all of your winner votes except for season 6. I am confused on how you cannot see how bitter BB CAN 6 Jury was. Was extremely obvious. It was a Jury that wasn't so much voting for Paras to win, but for Kayla to lose. All Paras did was slide to the end with no blood on her hands because she won no comps until the very end. Kayla won and made moves, and the Jury punished her for it.

I actually think Kelsey in BBCAN4 is the exception to the rule of never vote for someone who got voted out. I think her game is so much more impressive than the Pax bros, she was a huge target the entire time and consistently survived and when the brothers tried to nominate themselves that was the nail in the coffin for them to me

People who say that Paras won because of a bitter jury need to rewatch the show. A few of the jury members were bitter.... towards Paras. Olivia and Ali were very outspoken about hating Paras for betraying them, talking about how they would not vote for her, trying to get Maddy to flip on her. Johnny talked about how he most respected Kaela and Derek's game. So what changed? Simple: Paras played the better game. First: Paras had the jury stacked in her favor. She had three votes on lock (Ryan, Maddy and Will) and yet Kaela and Derek still allowed her to continue past Final 5. Paras hit the block for the first time at Final 5 (proof of her social game!), yet Derek and Kaela still decided to take out Maddy. Paras managed to coach Maddy on what to tell the jury to sell her (Paras') game.... WHILE PARAS WAS ON THE BLOCK NEXT TO MADDY. Paras played a perfect floater game, staying in the middle, having people both like and underestimate her, just to show up at the end and prove that she's a gamer. Kaela on the other hand dominated physically with her showmance and they had some good moves (such as convincing the trio to side with them and offering safety through the Double Eviction), but the first person on the jury was extremely soured because of her relationship and the first person on the jury has a huge effect on the jury overall. Additionally, she talked a big game about how she would evict Derek, yet when she had the chance at Final 4, she didn't take it. In the end, Paras was the one to evict Derek and Kaela looked like she couldn't actually deliver on the thing she promised. And finally: Their performance in the finale. Paras was smart and passionate. Kaela was insulting. I think she gave up and ecided to instead to go on the offense, belittling the people who should give her their votes. It was terrible jury management and voila, we have a winner and it's not Kaela.

I feel like these kinds of videos need to be taken in the viewpoint of a houseguest, so knowledge about the house is limited to being a jury member rather than a viewer. Based on this, a Sarah vote for over Godfrey is pretty easy. Personal social games, bitter jury, and final jury pleas matters a lot more here.

Paras vs Kaela Final 2 is far away better than Rachel vs Porsche Final 2 in term of the Gameplay Wise that took way longer to not have a great female winner outside of Nicole Franzel from BB18 Winner.

I agree with what you said about the finalists who got voted out; I'll never understand how people think that someone got voted out and came back is a great thing to have on their resume 😂 In terms of season 5, I would have actually given my vote to Karen. I didn't like how Kevin's social game was so bad that he had to comp out from the final 8 on and Karen positioned herself (unintentionally) in the final 3 to where she didn't even have to win the final HOH to make it to the end and, on top of that, had the person she hated most in the house take her. I think people oversee that because of her archetype within the cast.
@evald53738 ай бұрын
Karen's social game was cleary worse if noone voted for her. She simply wans't targeted because she wasn't a threat and she wasn't playing to win

Why is being able to win out a bad thing ? The trend of hating on players for being competitive has ruined a lot of these shows. Look at the state of survivor. Is it really a bad thing to be able to win challenges or do you hate it because you can’t compete ?
@whosthatpanda79358 ай бұрын
Winning out is a bad strategy to me. One because it's an unreliable strategy, and two because it takes no strategic or social play to "win out" and oftentimes acts as a substitute for a good social or strategic game rather than something to boost it. I've always stood by saying comp wins don't matter, it's what you do with those wins - i.e. Ty on bbcan11 convincing Claudia not to nominate him, then using the veto to force up and in turn take out one of her closest allies is a great move. And even when he didn't win a comp, he didn't get taken out. The second you need to rely on comp wins week after week, you've lost my respect - even if you make it to the end, just one unlucky week and you wouldn't be sitting there so why should I vote for you when your game was in the hands of a challenge rather than your own? I'm voting for a winner of a strategic and social game, not who is the strongest or the fastest or best at a puzzle. I think it's way more impressive to survive by your social and strategic games than just by winning competitions, which has no correlation to gameplay at all. If someone manages to get to the end in a dominant position based on gameplay alone, without even needing any comp wins, that is insanely impressive (see Kevin Jacobs, no comp wins but completely ran circles around everyone) and 100x better gameplay than "I've fucked my game and put myself in a terrible position so now I need to win every week or I'll immediately be booted". This is even bigger in Survivor where the immunity winner has absolutely no power coming with immunity - they simply gain safety. Comp beasting your way to the end can be seen as a lazy strategy. If survivor was a challenge-based show like The Challenge then sure, but survivor is a social game. Winning clutch immunities can be impressive but when you start relying on immunity consistently to save your ass, that's a huge sign you've fucked your social and strategic games.
