@@DolceVita She literally did it to another man on this show. She accused another male cast mate of pushing her into the pool, when he didn’t even touch her she fell in. Although this incident has nothing to do with a man, she once acted like she practically almost died after getting into a minor car accident. She listed off all these horrific injuries she sustained only for it to come out later on the only real injury she had was a sprained wrist. So, there’s absolutely a clear pattern of her exaggerating injuries in order to gain sympathy.

still too female focused. The lie that women dont come forward pervades sadly. So we all bend over backwards, foregoing rights for men or accused for the potential of few women to feel comfortable and come forward. Infantalising women and throwing innocent men in jail.

Comments often become aggressive and libellous on these types of channels and leaves the company open to legal action which is such a headache for them. I can understand why. It's not an attempt to repress free speech, but more to save them money and wasted time on idiot users with more free time on their hands than they deserve or need.

Read the numbers. The percentage of false accusations against men are relatively low. They are nowhere near high enough to swing around and treat every woman with immense disbelief.

VA: What are you talking about? When did I say that the Roxanne incident should "swing around and treat every woman with immense disbelief?". What I was saying is that it is about time that it is recognised that some women (not all) do lie and cause untold misery to innocent men and this case highlights that! It is something that has got to be recognised or do you nt agree that Roxanne nearly ruined someones life?
@kpjlflsknflksnflknsa
@kpjlflsknflksnflknsa 5 жыл бұрын
+VA The percentage of accusations that are *proven* false is similar to those resulting in a conviction i.e. *proven* to be legit. Ergo, if the number of false accusations is statistically insignificant (as your comment seems to suggest) then so too is the number of convictions. But no one in their right mind would argue that. Part of the problem is downplaying the issue btw

@jojobee42 5 жыл бұрын
I totally agree! How many men are out there who have been falsely accused, and they couldn't prove their innocence with the help of CCTV ??! It must be a sexist thing - because Roxanne is a *woman* we should just 'move on' and forget and forgive... Had the predator been a man, there would be no rush to 'move on' and forget and forgive. To falsely accuse someone of rape/violence, is the same than actual rape/violence, and should carry the same sentence. Ryan would be a fool not to sue Roxanne. *Someone* has to stand up and put a psycho like that behind bars, to prevent any further victims! For the time-being she's not even forced to seek professional help, she's just in hiding somewhere.

Well, Cheddy, I think if Ryan is wanting it in the past and he's the one who had to deal with it all, I think it's only fair to him, at the very least to put it to rest, if only for him to put it in his past and not be forced to be constantly reminded by people trying to sell a story/magazine or get views on a show? Now on the other hand what people discuss on their own time is very different and if they choose to teach their children a valuable lesson from the experience, it would be a good talk for them to have.

Ryan should definitely look at all the footage of her accusations against him. She does not deserve forgiveness for the simple reason that she was so sure in herself the public would believe her, until she heard her name being called to get her out. I don't believe for one minute the she is sorry and I am sure she would have kept this going and made Ryan's life hell. The only thing that saved him was the camera" and the public reaction! +Aimi Mansfield, this reminds me of when I was 16 and working in Sainsbury's, I was friends with a girl I considered as one of the lads, she was dangerous with her jokes and out of nowhere she called me gay, I pushed her briefly on the shop floor and then she accused me of groping her breasts which I thought was a sick joke until she shouted at me on the checkout when I was serving customers that I touched her and was telling new members of staff that I touched her but my friend who was dating her believed I was telling the truth but she made me feel like I was a pervert and I cried myself to sleep and wanted to commit suicide and that was 10 years ago, I have flash backs to it and it was never resolved, why didn't she complain to the Manager if she felt it was true and its made me from outgoing to an introvert and its ruined my life till this day.

Ryan breaking down in that diary room just makes me really upset. It's raw fear and anxiety and it's palpable. I wonder, with an incident this serious, how Big Brother left him in the dark about what was apparent on video. I know BB is all about being cut off, but this was no small accusation. Then to be so open to forgiving Roxanne... Respect to you, Ryan. You're a bigger man than me.

Big Brother was dealing with the situation while they were in the house. There's only so much the producers can do until they were able to show Roxy, during Ben's eviction, how much the public hated her for what she did. Ryan still should have been told bits and pieces of what was going on to ease his mind, but BB must've had a reason for not telling him
@juliemitchell8983
@juliemitchell8983 5 жыл бұрын
I'd like to give my opinion on a couple of the comments here. Firstly those saying he's milking it I have never seen an interview where he brings up the subject of Roxanne. He is duty bound to do these interviews and the situation is the biggest thing that happened in CBB this year so of course they are going to ask him about it. The one thing that's good about the situation is that it is showing what guys go through when a false accusation is made. At the Ryan didn't know what the cameras picked up on or what the public saw so as far as being scared and emotional I fully understand why. Lastly for the people saying stop crying.... Shame on you. It is people like you that are the reason domestic violence, bullying and other forms of abuse on men were kept quiet for many years. Anyone can get abused or be accused of causing abuse, male or female and to cry is nothing to be ashamed of.

I get your reasons for wanting BB to give him a heads up, but that would compromise the integrity of the game...ironic that I’m using that phrase when referring to what “she” did. I’ve seen where houseguests were distraught over incidents in the house and wanted some clarity from BB to know it’s okay. I don’t know any time when any of the BB’s (UK, USA, CAN) have revealed details of incidents. BB insinuated clearly to Dan that if Ryan was a danger or threat they would had taken immediate action. It sucks Ryan had to go through that, it was really gut wrenching, but he came out a hero for the way he handled the whole thing...his daughter will be very proud of him. I would not have been as forgiving or calm. WTG Ryan!👍

I don’t know ... Ryan was bookies favourite as soon as they announced the cast and both Emma and Rylan predicted he’d win. Ryan had such a local PR boost and is so popular especially in Manchester.

I don’t think it’s a sympathy vote, I think people were just generally impressed by the way he dealt with it all, he has been very gracious and that character trait is what won the show for him, another person may have kicked off, shouted, played the victim and wouldn’t have been so quick to forgive. That’s what I think swung him the votes, rather than thinking ‘poor Ryan’ it’s was more ‘wow, better person than me!’

I have a lot of respect for this young man, he has the ability to forgive a lot of people don’t. He’s right the public are punishing Roxanne he doesn’t need to! I’m not sure I would have the grace to be like him. Let’s hope this is a warning to other young men about the wiles a woman can have!

I was utterly angry at how Roxanne The Rodent accused Ryan's play joist as being violent. She clearly needs psychological help as there's something clearly amiss. There are stories of men and women accused of cry wolf situations that have ended their lives due to inflammatory words. So luckily cameras were there for the wider audience to witness it all, and then go on support Ryan.

A true gentleman - his acceptance of Roxanne’s apology was so humble & so aware of the hurt that not only he went through but the storm that Roxanne rightly finds herself in right now. He could milk this for all it’s worth but he handled it beautifully.

Yes he said he appreciates it but he also said Roxanne has suffered enough and that everyone needs to move on and not dwell on it. He may be unable to forgive her just yet but he definitely wants people to back off and let her be. A lesser man would be gloating about the fact that she's been villified so brutally by everyone but he clearly wants that to stop.

It's not commendable - it just lets Roxanne off the hook, allowing her to carry on with her false accusations also in the future. (She's already had plenty of victims, it's a pattern!) Commendable would be the *courage* to put a *stop* to it, forcing her to take responsibility for her actions in the name of law - to prevent any further victims, who don't have CCTV to save them!
@beauwhitehouse123
@beauwhitehouse123 5 жыл бұрын
I'd say this is one of the massive issues with men - being too proud to be the victim. He doesn't want to be seen as one, which he was. He should own it, carry it and promote the health of admitting you are one. I know it sounds frakked up, but it happens.

What I saw was you being you, and you handled yourself the best you could under the horrible accusations in and out of the Big brother house. Am so excited to see what is to come next, and let this be a learning lesson to others to embrace your true being and always keep pushing forward with that great smile of yours.. you Did Us all proud 🤗

I can’t believe how composed and understanding Ryan has been throughout this entire ordeal. He never once confronted Roxanne even though he knew he hadn’t done anything wrong. I have so much respect for him. I don’t think I would have reacted the same if I had those allegations against me. I would have been raging.

I think it was probably more the fact that they didn't take notice of the situation because it wasn't aggressive, nor out of the ordinary for them to do to each other (you can see in other clips them all play fighting, including Roxanne and Ben). Even Sally was right in front of them but didn't take notice.

I just found out about this and have been YouTubing like crazy to see everything. My heart breaks for this guy. I really believe that she’s only sorry because she got caught. I’ve dealt with a few Roxanne’s and they have left me scarred. They’re so good at acting. I felt the same way when I saw him crying in the diary room. The same emotions. I have the same emotions. I’m so happy the truth came out for him. Poor guy. This happens frequently. I wish the best for everyone.

It is so scary how someone's life can so easily come to be ruined by the lies of others. I work in a nursery and my fear would be if a parent accused me of inappropiate behaviour of a sexual manner with their child when changing nappies, putting them on potty/toilet/changing their clothes etc especially if there are no other adults or children in the room. There are no cameras in classrm or changing station area.

I love ryan..... im so glad the camera is running 24/7 in big brother house. Roxanne could have finished ryan's career. She is suffering due to her own actions. Its all come out now, this is not the first time roxanne has done this and sadly ive a feeling it wont be the last she never learns. She cant use past bad experience with men as an excuse for her actions , ive had some beatings in my time by the hands of my ex but would never dream of doing anything like she has , what about the people she accused in the past that are innocent but cant prove it because there are no camera' ? . Nobody in their right mind is going to want to be alone in a room with roxanne through fear of being accused of assault. Worst of all she only retracted what she said when clip was shown to her, she didnt flinch in the clip. As for big brother giving ryan a warning, shame on them, they new he didnt hurt her, so rather than give poor ryan a warning they should have booted her out. She new what she was doing , thats why she left after hearing boo's ...... she needs help, her thought process just aint right and havent been for years .i hope she seeks the help she needs. Ryan you deserve all the happiness . You are a gentle man
