pretty amazing how blind I was as Dave called out. Some amazing moments together like this through the years that we seldom share but decided to this time - Dave's a little shy about sharing his intense side and the conditions this day had him firing on trout locating and calling on the fish and my casts.

@@CiekursFishing Just to hear that we keep your minds' eye active, hopeful, dreaming to your fly fishing is great to hear. Thank you for sharing that. :) We try to honor each person as they take their time to react, share and comment - it's important everyone feels some value in their lives from real people - even on social media. If we take the time to show and share value, honor and try to understand then this can be a good place. Really, the only thing we ask of people that want to or can support us is through our Patreon page www.patreon.com/jensenflyfishing or starting later this week through joining our KZbin channel membership - the collective of a few $ a month as people can translates into being able to continue doing this - as you know KZbin ads are a few $ monthly on low view channels such as ours :) Thank you for taking the time to share :)

"not a huge fish" ... that was a tank. what tippet are you guys using while dry fly fishing for browns this big
@jensenflyfishing10 ай бұрын
as we always share - size is only ever relevant to the location or the individual. A 16" brown in a similar water elsewhere rising to mayflies would have equal or greater value to us for the visual / camera component for sure :) I think 4x on this day. Dave
@anatticuslife10 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure that slow eat that was a miss was actually your tippet riding over the nose. Hence why it flipped off his snout. Just bad luck.

that is the result of fish condition which was the result of environmental factors leading the months ahead of this day, which we discuss at our digital channel :)

i have seen almost all of your videos, but still don´t understand why you both used reel with a knob on that side on which you hold the rod... Otherwise, what you do for fly fishing community is unbelievable. I was a competitor of fly fishing for more than 30 years, but "hat down"
@jensenflyfishing10 ай бұрын
the funny is that we simply don't get why anyone would worry about that - and quite frankly we remain so incredibly baffled by how many people obsess about something that has ZERO impact, other than the fact that if you go on your unnatural side it actually causes reel issues - a video long in my mind and one I'll put together this season.
@canadiangemstones76369 ай бұрын
Average anglers risk fumbling the rod transfer and losing a fish from slack line. You two are not average anglers. Personally I daren’t risk switching hands at such a crucial point, I want my dominant hand getting the rod up and the hand that’s used to line handling doing the line handling.
@jensenflyfishing9 ай бұрын
@@canadiangemstones7636 the point is that if you ignore the short comings of reeling with your unnatural reeling hand you risk inducing serious reel errors which WILL lose fish. We'll get a video up at some point this year. Better to not risk that than to force.
