Hey guy's that was me with the Subaru wagon. Yeah it was crazy to take a old classic Subaru thru rattlesnake gulch a level 6 out of 10 trail. I did start the trail around 2pm thinking I would complete it in 3hours. Every obstacle I came across was challenging and fun. But the trail worsen the further I drove into it. After the fifth water crossing the poor Subaru auto trans was giving up. Now I know was the Subaru capable of and it's time to do upgrades to manual transmission with dual range transfer gear's. Thank you Jefe and Kade with the awesome Morrvair for getting us out.

I'm from Colorado. They were never very good off-road but the underpowered engines lasted a long time and they were decent on snow covered roads.

They are front wheel drive when not in 4-wheel, so we figured out you could only do donuts (good ones) in reverse... we tore up the Silver Creek (now Granby Ranch) parking lot on the daily after ski-team practice. Fun car.

That old Subaru doesn't have enough power to turn bigger tires. An 80's 1.8 liter was rated at 71 horsepower on a good day.

It is a turbo so it probably has a automatic and single range 4wd. Manual 4 speed with 4 low would have gotten out of that situation.

Raising my kids alone in Montana I appreciated the local churches doing "Trunk or Treat" to ensure all kids were safe walking and getting safe treats. It's a shame to see how the care free America I grew up has changed, but it's gratifying seeing good people looking out for and making childhood a positive. Thank You all! It's funny but on the east coast, the urban areas still trick or treat, suburbs and rural trunk or treat and have scheduled functions, 2hr closed course trick or treating. South Baltimore, North East Baltimore, several neighborhoods have full blown trick or treating, my old neighborhood just like it was in the 80s. Out in the county, no visitors, guess it's all the helicopter parents got the pants scared off them by this year's urban legend horror story on the news, this year it's rainbow fentanyl, everyone knows how druggies like giving away their drugs for nothing.

Out in the country in the Southwest. Schools do trunk or treat every year for us rural folk. The suburbs 40 minutes away all do trick or treat and advertise it on Facebook and such as open to anyone, specifically for us rural folk who have 1/4 mile between each neighbor. Maybe it’s different in big cities but people are still living as carefree and friendly as always.

I had one as my first vehicle many years ago and it was beast in the winter time here in Michigan. They're pretty capable due to the real 4wd (2-Hi, 4-Hi, 4-Lo) system in them, but they're also really underpowered! I had the non-turbo version which made... *drum roll* 71 hp and 93ft-lbs of torque!

I daily a Subaru myself, and even with a lift and tires, I wouldn't have gone THERE. Props to them for actually doing stuff with their car, not just a mall crawler overland rig. Congrats to Lizzy, as well!

Those Subaru GLs are fanatic cars and tough to beat in snowy road conditions. They're also really nice on improved gravel trails and forest roads. Not so great for steep climbs and really rough terrain or rock crawling. They really shine in their element though.

Here in Australia, adults hate Halloween. and parents are forced to go with their kids for trick or treating for their safety. There are too many cases of teens threatening to egg your car or house if you don't fork out lots of lollies. It's one American event we can do without.

The banana used to have a light bar IIRC, but it was actually too bright. They said the hood would just reflect all the light back into their eyes so it was just useless. They do have those light cube things on the front of both the banana and the morrvair now though.

Just testing the capability of my wagon, drove from California to Utah and back. It has done more off-road trails than some of the expensive mall crawlers you've seen around. Puts smiles on people when they see it on the road.
