Surely the key blade is to get into the car from the outside if you have battery failure to gain access for recovery and maintenance . Some vehicles have a cover over the drivers door handle to remove for access with the key blade. I had to use the blade key to get into my Jag EPace when the battery failed to open using the fob buttons .

The mechanical key would be used to open the doors if your 12 volt battery is dead. You will be able to insert key into door lock and open door, then hood to get to battery. My GWM Ora has a similar key in fob. Same as Ice cars.( If you read your Byd Atto 3 Manual, page 50 your car also has one in key fob!!)

Yes, virtually every car we test has one. But very rarely do we see cars with keyless entry sporting a chunky switchblade-style key. That is more commonly seen with Ice vehicles with key start.

This is surprisingly expensive in the UK. It's only just cheaper than the Model Y and nearly £5K than the Skoda Enyaq.

Only just indeed - when you consider the spec on the Tesla - this car is absurdly over priced. I cannot understand how they think they’re going to sell more than a few dozen

I like it a lot. It not only offers plenty of space and a decent sized battery for a good price, but also a massive warranty: 10 years or 1 Mio. km (at least in some markets)!

Big cargo spare is great but only if the load limit match it. I have tried and drive the car and i was very dissipointed with it. Seats av are so small not made for men above 180 cm . And the safety belt i could not get over my shoulder. Slow menus Inside, no hooks too Secure luggage and other stuff. The car feels alot like something that came out 4 years ago.

1.5 towing limits is really good. Need some info ref effect on range whilst towing. Is that what you’re referring to?

@@acceleratedriving no vehicle load limit. Take the Xpeng G9 great car but av 365 kg load limit. That means that you cant have 5 Friends in the car if they are all over 100 kg. The car becomes dangerous, longer break distance and other things. If a accident happen and the find out that you where over loadlimit of car you can forget about help from insurance companies

Nonsense here about exploding batteries. All data shows EV fires are very rare. Much less than ice. Hybrids are worse than ice cars! In Australia over last five years, only six EV fires with one as arson and two caught up in building fires ( not related to the EVs. ) Simple google pulls up lots of valid respectable sources.
