Because BYD's PHEV models do not require a more complex transmission system, they have fewer parts than traditional ICE models and do not have a gearbox, resulting in lower energy consumption during the manufacturing process. In addition, the engine of this car has a much smaller displacement compared to similar vehicles, with much higher fuel efficiency. The vehicle's power is actually stronger than that of similar ICE vehicles, and it can also recover kinetic energy during downhill driving and braking. Ordinary users only use electric drive for about 90% of the time when using this type of PHEV, so the maintenance cycle is longer and the maintenance cost is lower.
