BIG Changes In Phuket 🇹🇭

The island of Phuket in Thailand has changed dramatically in the past few months. Going from being deserted and empty it is now comfortably full of tourists. What does that look like? Are the locals happy? Will it continue? This video will answer all those questions as we tour around Phuket, get Thai Food, and even take a boat tour to Phang Nga Bay to see some amazing scenery.

Just arrived in Phuket today, on a plane full of tourists! Patong looked pretty busy when I went through, but I've got to a few hours to wait for my first negative PCR. Feels.surreal watching a RW4Y vid on Phuket, whilst sat on my balcony over looking Patong. Bloody lovely!

Since I can't apply for a Thailand Pass using Test & Go anymore, I've booked 7 nights in Patong Beach instead of quarantining in Bangkok. I usually like quiet, but after the past 2 years, I'm looking forward to the liveliness you just showed us! I finally arrive next month and can't wait to spend 2 months in beautiful Thailand! (The rest of the time will be in Chiang Mai.)

I was supposed to be in Bangkok right now if wasn't for the mistake Localnation made on my quarantine hotel. I booked the 13th, and thank god I took a picture because I needed that to get the Thai Pass. When I was leaving Toronto, at the check-in counter I found out the booking confirmation they sent back to me was on the 12th, which was a day early. I tried calling them, but no one answered. Thailand no longer issues test and go, so now I'm stucked here again. Lost some money, and now i have to rebook everything and go thru sandbox to goto thailand. really sucks. Been watching you for 2 years now! finally 2021 took care of everything and ready to enjoy thailand.

I was in Patong in the first half of December, and it ramped up very rapidly. Before you knew it, it was total partyland (for better or worse!). Awesome video as always. Loved the excursions and nature views.

There seem to be more people now in Phuket, but when I did James Bond Island and some canoe back in 2017, it was just totally crowded and you had to queue to take a picture! So, I think it's the good time to get to Phuket. And hopefully I'll do that next month...

Thank you for another amazing video! We went to Phuket in November, they just opened the island then. It was my fourth time, after almost 20 years. You covered most of the places - marina, Paton Beach, Bangla road, downtown.. Unfortunately, we could not go to the Phi Phi islands because of the travel restrictions. Definitely one of the places on the list to retire!

We’re currently staying in Patong, yesterday we used 5 Star Marine to take us to James Bond Island and the Mangroves and they were absolutely unbelievable treated us like VIP’s, took us to all the best stops and caves. Highly recommended, if you want a private, taylor made tour they are the number one company in Phuket.

Hoping for a negative test this time and get to Phuket, by Feb 9th, before moving on to Samui. Would have preferred to go straight to Koh Samui, but Phuket Sandbox has better/cheaper flight and hotel options at the moment.
