What does “running a floating finish” mean?

it means that the finish line moves forward if a tractor surpasses the previous furthest distance. (a simpler explanation: they measure beyond 320 feet)

Thanks for the explanation. So if I understand correctly, this prevents a tie if more than one has a full pull. If there isn’t enough room for a floating finish and more than one full pull, do they typically increase the weight and have a pull off?

@@MyFakeBrand Exactly. Floating finishes aren't typically run in the Netherlands, because we often have a sandpile at the end of the track, so we almost always have a pull-off.

No not all Summer. East Coast Pullers have a event there in June and Full Pull Productions has a pull there during the fair in September
