Still plugging away with our 1982 IH 1460. 180 HP, About a15 ft auger with an unload rate of all we need to get the job done. Just good old dependable simple machines and no crazy payments! 😊

A farmer I know was telling about the first year he grew white corn in south central Nebraska. This was way before internet. He said there were 15 cars lined up on the highway taking pictures. It was crazy to see a white dome instead of a yellow one in the combine.
@douglassellers7528Ай бұрын
That was amazing. Just chuckled what my old K Gleaner with its 3 row 30"head would look like in the field with any of these.

I've spent some time in a 1460 IH combine.... Loved every minute of it... Id sure like to try one of this big ones for a couple days..

I can remember riding on a Gleaner when I was a kid. I watched John Deere, Ford, and Massey Ferguson run but they were no where near that fast through the field as these new babies.......... This is awesome.

The 2024 model year really shines-New Holland CR 11 and Case IH AF10 lead the pack with 16-row corn heads and 567-bushel capacities! Talk about harvesting giants! 🚛🌾

There's a lot of very nice combines out there now. The NH/Case class 10 machines are very impressive. I always like seeing the Gleaner combines and seeing a big orange tractor just made it that much better. JD needs to step up their unload rate game.
@Beyonder8335Ай бұрын
Deere is def behind on the unload rates. From what I know most of them were in that ballpark until the fendt ideals came out with their massive unload speeds.
@aidencrawford3487Ай бұрын
They really do. Our class 7 7500 lexion dumps at 5 bu/second.

Still running CaseIH redtop 8010 with 40ft here in Australia, canola, wheat, barley, faba beans n oats. I wouldn't mind new CaseIH AF 10, i rather have single rotor but would nèed to buy big mother bin to keep up with the combine.
@dufinsmrtsАй бұрын
Only the af11 has a twin rotor.
@JimmyShields-z2hАй бұрын
@dufinsmrts yes, double moving part extra hp n hydraulic flow, i wouldn't want block rotors. Nice AF 10 with tracks

They are all nice, but, the new Holland was my favorite, we finally got a TR 85 new Holland with a 6 row corn head, we like it, wasn't that gleaner going a bit fast for such good corn? Maybe the sieves were wide open.

@clearskiesranch1362Ай бұрын
Pretty much there already. The current combine rating system just hasn’t caught up yet
@lawrencewilliamson3303Ай бұрын
@@clearskiesranch1362it would make more sense if they included cleaning area in the class system, maybe not as important to corn bean guys but in small grain that is limiting factor
