When I go to heaven the first person I am going to ask for is Stu. I can't wait to introduce myself to him and let him know how much joy he has given me over the years. RIP Stu. Such a shame. I wish he had a do over.

,,,,,my God!, a Performance for the Age's!, If I was only able to See one Big Country Show, it would of been this One! total perfection from Everyone in the Band, esp,. Bobby Valentino, and the Lad's on the Bongo's!,,,,,Bobby could of played on a lot more Song's,. his added melody would of been a real plus on a lot of BC's track's,. The whole Show looked like the Boy's weren't too comfortable on that Cramped, tight, Hot stage!,. Bruce, your Musical range is astounding!, Tony!, as always, One of the Best Bassist's in the Business!, and I wish You were still w/ the Band!,There is No replacing You Brother,,,,ever!, and Mark!, I think it was your Drumming that first endeared me to the Big Country sound, way back in 1981!!,,, I have practically every One of your Album's, and I must say that your Music pulled Us through a lot of Dark times! during the Gulf War!, I think I wore out the Head's on my BoomBox rolling across the Desert with your Music Blasting through our Vehicles "Gerry-Rigged" 500 watt Speaker system!!, and I think that Big Country was Loved by almost Everyone that I knew in the Military!!, Brit, Canadian, Ozzy's and Kiwi's!,,,,,,Yank's Not so much!,. LoL!

Big Country was basically banned from airplay in the United States because "Flame of the West" was critical of Ronald Reagan. Been looking to that news article for years, but that's why they aren't as well known.

treceratops: Believe me, BC might not have been as huge here as some other acts from that era but they have their share of devoted, never-failing AMERICAN fans. I've been a HUGE fan since I first heard "In A Big Country" on the radio, and I am now, thirty years on. And always will be. God bless 'em.

3qrtnorth It’s great to know the band has a solid following across the pond as they have here. Once your hooked there’s never been anything quite like em since. Unique, classy and musically so talented.

What an awesome song, will live forever. My local station, during the Iraq war, was asking for song requests. I dared them to play this. No surprise, too chicken to do that. The best anti war song ever!

I saw B.C. a lot in the 80s and they were - and remain - the greatest live group I've ever seen (there have been a lot). But if I was to be given just one gig, to relive every day for the rest of my life, it would be this one. Absolutely magnificent and quite unsurpassed.
