I have an idea for you to try, I know in the past these have at times led to disastrous results but I have had a few good ones in my life. To move that pipe down through the woods or where ever, take a big stout C-clamp, the more heavy duty the better, and clamp it on the bottom of the pipe at one end when you pick it up. Put the handle, cranking part to the inside. Take and tie a nice little 1/2 inch nylon rope or some such attaching strap to the C-clamp and lead the other end of the rope to the shackle point between the tracks or the cab or through the door of the cab. You need to leave enough slack so it can spin a bit and you can still turn and so the pipe can sway a bit. it might sorta work, I think.
