Big donors signal desire for Biden to leave the race as he doubles down on staying in

President Biden is facing more calls for him to exit the 2024 race after last week’s disappointing debate performance. Although Biden said in a television interview Friday that he does not plan on dropping out, major Democratic donors and members of Congress privately signaled the same call to PBS News on Saturday.
