With all due respect, you are dead wrong about Fiserv Forum as Marquette's Home Court. Your comment that Marquette should utilize a smaller area is laughable! Marquette has set FIVE separate attendance records this season alone at Fiserv! They've had to sell SRO tickets because of the demand and Marquette is averaging 18K+ per game now. Marquette frequently draws more fans than the Milwaukee Bucks! It's within a short walk from campus and the students and fans LOVE the place! On game day the entire downtown Milwaukee area is buzzing with Marquette blue and gold fans. It's a wild atmosphere. Come visit and I think your ranking with rise significantly!

I see that DG not only doesn't do much research but he also doesn't the read the comments which has given him a hard time for calling Hinkle Fieldhouse "Hinkie" and he did it again. Also will add that only Xavier and Butler play all of their games on-campus, which is the biggest problem with the conference. Georgetown's arena situation is bad, but not exactly unique in their own conference as DG makes it out to be.
@CS_19899 ай бұрын
Honestly arena should get like stadiums and have sim sort of sun roof with sliding windows. To have out side air and humidity with moonlight or clouds as a back drop is dope. Just trying to cram as many ppl in a building isn’t going to cut it anymore. B4 the internet when the only way to enjoy live events was physically being there OK. Now going to a game needs to be an experience in itself.

Yeah, but Carnesecca isn't anything great, with all due respect to a proud program.
@cityhawk9 ай бұрын
@@RogerBates7I disagree. If you’ve ever been to a St. John’s home game at Carnesecca, it’s one of the most difficult places to play in for a road team. The fans are on top of you and it can get very loud. Sometimes a more intimate setting can provide for a great intimidating atmosphere.
@RogerBates79 ай бұрын
@cityhawk Only been there for women's games. My church did a couple of bus trips down there for UConn games. The atmosphere is a fair point, I'm sure it can be loud in there. The venue itself just isn't anything noteworthy. St John's and Seton Hall's on-campus arenas feel more like big high school gyms than D1 arenas.
@cityhawk9 ай бұрын
@@RogerBates7 I think atmosphere and ambiance is more important than its amenities. For example, some would argue that North Carolina has a better arena than Duke, but any opponent will tell you that it’s more intimidating to play at Cameron than in Chapel Hill. There’s a reason why St. John’s has the record they do at Carnesecca. It’s a very tough place to play in. Why do you think Rick Pitino wants to play UConn at Carnesecca? It can feel suffocating for any opponent. Take it from an alum.
@RogerBates79 ай бұрын
@cityhawk I believe it. I don't disagree with your point. I'm just saying I think the Ginger was basing this a lot on the physical attributes of the facility, more so than the environment. Also, Pitino claims that was because they wanted to play a blue blood program there for Lou's 100th celebration, but I agree with your reasoning much more.
@brodyh28959 ай бұрын
a friend of mine who worked at Villanova told me the reason they have that strange shaped arena is because Radnor Township has strict rules about the “average height” of buildings, meaning that architects had to make some creative choices to get so many people in the arena while also not going above a certain average height! also the same reason I don’t believe Villanova will be able to move to FBS in football any time soon, can’t build a better stadium on the land they have

With respect first off the mutual pavilion is called the Amica Mutual Pavillon named after a local insurance company. And yeah yeah it's old but it's pretty good for basketball Keep in mind that they also have to share it for hockey because the Boston Bruins minor-league club the Providence Bruins also plays their hockey games there it's also conveniently located downtown and yeah, the interior kinda does suck but just give it a rest. It's a decent stadium this ranking is butchered at the fact Madison Square Garden low on the list but then you say it's one of the best major leagues sports Arena. Like I'm sorry the Bluejay should have a 20,000 seats stadium even though they're Canada's team and people from places like Saskatchewan New Brunswick Ontario go to games. Same logic with St. John's. They are New York's team so they play in New York Arena. It's the big east it's the best basketball conference in the northern part of the country. Like the AMP is better than Villanova. do you wanna rank the conte forum well you're just a New England hater it looks like

PUH-VIL-YUHN. 2. Providence's arena is Amica Mutual Pavilion, not just Mutual Pavilion. 3. Mispronouncing simple names like Cintas and Hinkle is egregious. At least do some research and go over pronunciations before you upload this kind of content smh. You're getting grilled in the comments for it and rightfully so tbh. 4. If you looked at Marquette's attendance numbers and their home record in the last six years (minus the 2020-21 COVID season), Fiserv has legitimately become a major homecourt advantage for them because their fans show out and fill that arena on a consistent basis. If you're gonna say that stuff in your videos, at least back it up with some data and facts, you know?
