tried the engine on the bio ethanol fuel, runs ok.

As long as the concentration is high enough to produce the heat needed it should make the engine run. I tried 80% for stirling engines an my flame licker … and it worked. By the way is the piston of your engine made of graphite or steel? Cheers, Detlef.

It's a steel piston, would graphite piston run without any lube, thanks, David

@@MrNostalgicdave That‘s what I expected because of the oilers. On the other hand, lots of newer stirling engines or flame lickers are built using graphite pistons - and have “mock oilers“. 👍
