@@lordjaashin The bigger issue is likely the lack of disposal bins for feminine hygiene products in some places along with the taboo of discussing such things which leads women to flush tampons rather than putting them in the bin. Also general lack of awareness of what is and isn't flushable (e.g. baby wipes). If men had to use tampons instead you'd likely see the exact same issue at the exact same rates
@lordjaashin3 жыл бұрын
@@BambiTrout women flush tampons even when there is disposable bins at their homes. what special disposable bins are required for tampons? just throw them in the garbage bin in public toilets. even grungy truck stop toilets have garbage bins installed in toilets. stop bringing up men in every discussion as if it excuses shitty behavior of women. you're literally creating strawman with "iF mEn uSeD tAmPoNs TheY wOuLd fLuSh iT tOo". this isn't 80s or 90s to have taboo about tampons. women period products is openly taught at schools. stop beating the dead "taboo" horse to make excuses for shitty behavior.
@BambiTrout3 жыл бұрын
@@lordjaashin I apologise but it appears you misinterpreted my points and prescribed meaning to them which I did not give to them. I will be more explicit to avoid confusion. My point about bringing up men hypothetically using tampons instead of women was not as some standalone strawman or gotcha. It was meant to be read in conjunction with my comment about the flushing of baby wipes. Now, given that people of both sexes still flush baby wipes despite prominent warnings on every packet, I don't think it is a stretch to assume that the same issue applies to tampons - people not reading the disposal instructions and assuming "It touched my genitals - it goes in the toilet". Therefore, if men used tampons, they would likely make the same mistake at the same rate, and the only reason they don't is because they don't use tampons, because they have no need to. I don't think that is a controversial or sexist or strawman statement, given that it follows on from a logical set of conclusions and treats both sexes as equally fallible. I will refrain from addressing my other points further, as while I believe they are still relevant to consider, I would not wish to sully this intellectual discussion with anecdotal evidence or risk turning it into some battle of the sexes. However I will point out that not having sanitary bins in cubicles necessitates the carrying of used tampons into public spaces, which is potentially unsanitary and embarrassing, and this could lead to women choosing to flush in order to avoid such a situation. N.B. One could argue that your original comment was a strawman in itself, but that is neither here nor there.

For everyone saying "2 story walmart???" and "i didn't know they were rare???": Its economics, making a Walmart 2 stories with parking underneath and a concrete slab is very expensive to build. And land can cost alot or relatively little. But that giant parking lot takes up a ton of land so if you see a "double decker" Walmart it means you land is so expensive that the cost of putting the building on stilts was less than the cost of buying a parkinglot and building only 1 story. In cities and urban areas land is very expensive so its more likely that urban areas have multistory warehouse store while a tiny farming town would never get one.

In California there's a two story Home Depot, but the store is actually two stories, not just the store on top of the parking garage. San Francisco has many stores laid out like this.

I worked a few years ago in a Costco where the city drains would back up in the warehouse. All the available employees would go and try to control the water flow. The members would come and film us doing it. And the smell in dry days... The good old days.

Over here in England we have Asda which is owned by Walmart. We have magnetic travelators. The cart wheels have magnetic boots around them so they don't move

Geez, you missed the most famous landmark around there -- the Hilltop Steak House sign. In the late 1980's that restaurant had the highest gross sales in one year of any restaurant in the US. It's defunct now, but the sign is still visible at 0:25. I ate there a couple of times back then; I thought it was pretty good.

There is a three-story Walmart close to where my grandparents live. It is made of a two-story parking garage with the store right on top of it.

Hey post 10, in Lexington, Kentucky there is a Kroger store that have a basement where all the extra product is stored at and you can park on the roof of the building. And use freight elevators to move the product to and from the basement to the ground level.
