@ 2:18 you have the makings of an aerial lawn mowing and gopher control system. put some reciprocating blades on the leading edges!!! ;) my favorite commentary was "do i film or do i live?" while video rolls of what looks like cow pies in the grass. priceless

Beautiful wing. Well done. Wish I had a place close enough to slope soar.

Thank you John! Even with a hill nearby, the last year has been pretty tough with the lockdwon restrictions... hoping to get out in the coming weeks though!

Wow, that is beautiful! Is this normal heat-shrink film, or some other material ? Thanks for the great video and a great flying place you have there!

Thank you Dimitris! The covering is Sig Coveral- it's a polyester fabric. We are lucky to have such a great site, the lading area is superb even if the slope isn't that impressive.

Great looking glider and nice flying. The camera man could keep zoomed out more, so one can see the background and how it is flying. It would also be easier to follow the glider at the same time. A perfect slope for this type of flying. Good job.

Thanks for commenting, glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately he didn't have his reading glasses with him..... he did a good job despite. I try and encourage people to just hold the camera like a pistol and follow the glider by sighting along the top of it, but that technique seems to take a leap of confidence that most people aren't happy to do. Happy landings!

Yes we are on the same page regarding the sport view finder. I've made a camera mount on top of cardboard tube. While filming, you simply sight through the tube for aiming. It is held at arms length like a gun. It works quite well.

Terrific ! Would you mind to share about the wing root and wing tip size isn't it same size?
@miniphase6 жыл бұрын
Root and tip are 350mm, but the tip has its leading edge rounded off bringing it down to 280mm, this forms a taper over the last 470mm of the wing.
