Thank you for this. I just placed a huge order. It's exactly what I've been looking for and can't get in the U.S. I'm 52 and have had probably a dozen hamsters in my life, the last one close to 20 years ago. And frankly, we took lousy care of all of them. Nobody knew (which doesn't make it right, but we were clueless). We have our Lucy now and she's in an 800+ sq. inch bin cage while I finish building her 2000+ sq. inch DIY wooden cage. And now she has a huge pile of treats, enrichment, and bedding coming from Germany.

Getzoo products are amazing! Great quality, I have 2 wheels, a platform (the same as in the video), and multi chamber hides. Would recommend especially to European hamster owners, shipping cost and time to the UK was pretty reasonable.

I'm a long time bunny owner but I just adopted a hamster from my city shelter last week and am SO grateful for your thorough research and informative videos! If you're looking for ideas, it would be so fun to see a video from you on the topic of food/enrichment you can buy that work for both hamsters and bunnies! (like particular types of chew toys, forage mixes, hays, etc.!) Forgive me if you've already done something like this-I'm still working my way through all your vids! :)

I have the exact same 3-entrance Trixie hideout and my syrians love it! I also have a 25 cm-diameter GetZoo wheel for about 3 years and its quality is amazing. It is used by the 4th owner and nothing went wrong with it. If they pee in it, just rub it gently with a vinegar-wet sponge, then rinse carefully with a water-wet sponge and it's good as new, when dried.

I got my wheel from Getzoo and it is amazing! Lucky my hamsters haven’t peed in it much, but when they did I managed to wipe it down with hot water :) Have fun with these products, my hamsters sure love them

I’m from Denmark and I have ordered from getzoo a few times. It’s amazing! I have the same wheel as you showed in the video, best wheel I’ve ever used! You can’t hear ANYTHING when the hamster is running in it, it’s so silent! Germany really knows how to make great products for hamsters and other small animals!

Iv just introduced my two month old Russian dwarf to a sand bath. She only did one roll but then appeared to start eating the sand, is this normal? Shes my first hamster so I am learning, will it be OK to leave the bath in the cage or just for her play pen?

Any advice or recommended resources on how to know what sprays/roots/woods etc. are safe for a dwarf hamster? My local pet shop doesn't have anything like these and I'm nervous to get them from a different pet section e.g. birds or guinea pigs. I ask because I see some items in your order have birds or other animals on the packaging. I've seen a lot of sprays and substrates on Etsy but again I'm nervous to know what's suitable and safe for my dwarf hammy 🐹 Thank you x

I wish i could afford more things for my gerbils, but i'm broke lol They do already have a niteangel wheel, a good sand bath, some chew toys, hay, good bedding, a good size tank (they don't need as big as hamsters because they get territorial), sprays, mealworms, food, and a few other things. hey victoria ive had a hamster before that had for about 2 and a half years in a custom cage since then weve moved and the cage was wood being moved in a trailer with ither furniture and has been broken to get another hamster my mom is only aggreing to get a 40 gallon is that enough room for a dwarf?

Hi! I went to the pet store not really knowing a lot about hamsters but I did know that they needed a good sizable cage and a bunch of enrichment but I didn't know is that hamsters are better off left solitary and the pet store worker told us that my two CHINESE HAMSTERS (I know) are good to go with each other. And me not knowing that they're very solitary we bought them both. But yesterday they had their first fight and I don't have a spare cage or aquarium to separate them in. What should I do?

You’ll either need to return one to the petstore or rehome it to someone asap if you do not have a spare enclosure, it’s not safe to continue housing them together.
