24:28 its normally done by weight class and armour but also by intended role, an example is the panther which is classified as a medium despite being heavier than most nation heavy tanks. For japan a lifht tank would be intended as a scout or light infantry support whereas a medium would be for infantry support primarily.

The offset machine gun on most Japanese armor is designed specifically just for rotating the machine gun to the front and firing upon infantry, at least when you don't want to fire or waste shells on a handful of soldiers
@theShermanator8 ай бұрын
Interesting, figured thats what a coax is for but too small of a turret probably
@Hootie.8 ай бұрын
@@theShermanator if I recall correctly many of the gun mantlets could also swivel left and right without the turret needing to rotate, kinda like a ball mount instead of just vertical traversal, and because of that feature it didn't leave room for a coax, now this and the offset machine gun acting as an alternative primary arm of the turret are not really represented in valour

The Teishin Shudan (Raiding Troops/Group) mostly served as light infantry as the war dragged on so it would prolly be okay for them to be mechanized

You should be able to capture enemy equipment but with the rules 1. You cant ressupply them unless you find enemy suppy crates/trucks since you wouldn't have thier ammo in reserve 1A. If you find ammo in field(from other vehicles) you can steal that ammo for it 2. You cant use anything hull damaged or worse, since you wouldn't be trained to fix it Something that happened in world war 2 was that anything salvageable(Friendly or enemy) after a battle was recovered, and either sent to the back lines as reserve or was repaired and re-used, such as beute-panzers or soviet captured panzers. Anything burnt-out or beat to hell was left until the end of the wwr or if it was far enough in the back lines, would be sent back to be scrapped for raw materials. You can roleplay that captured tanks/guns are sent back to be scrapped for parts

150mm is a huge mortar. The Russian 120mm absolutely wrecks but its very accurate. Also for the tanks you have to look at the penetration range, it might be 60 at 20 yards but 0 at 100 yards

Tanks are calssified based on Armor+Gun+Mobility a Light tank = maximum mobility a medium tank = midlle ground a heavy tank = maximum armor, but it depends on the country.

Well, Atlanta-class exists and it had 5inch main battery. Or you might use easrlier japanese cruisers with 140 mm, Kuma-class for example. But tanks was classified very differently in different countries. For example Germans was designating tanks based on gun caliber (Panther had 75 mm so that was considered armament of medium tanks) and soviets on weight (Panther was classified as heavy tank by soviets).
