I’m running a cts catback with the resonator removed and it’s perfect no drone no rasp. It’s got bass, and when you have it on load it shakes the rear cargo deck and windows

I did an intercooler install this week on my mk7 golf r. I think you might be able to use your aftermarket air box by moving/adjusting the ac, ic, and radiator forward. On the crash bar there are slotted holes to move everything forward.

Why didn’t you try the bi.cooler set up where you use the front and the factory with hoses that connect them both together since your doing a bigger turbo

From what I’ve seen, most bi-cooler will slower turbo spool. Single ic is better

Mate you have an absolute weapon I've watched all your roll racing videos, so impressive 👏 you have your gti sorted. Spend it where it's needed. I have a mk6 gti dsg 2 door and am interested to hear what you think of turbo upgrades? IS38? K04? K04 hybrid? Unfortunately most reviews are biased because that's what they believe. I've seen you chop shit that I'm sure they all screamed Monica 😂🤣👍 very impressive what you've done and not over the top. I have downpipe highflow cat muffler delete rear muffler delete, cold air intake dogbone mount, catch can (need a carbon clean) just ordered ECS fmic and turbo outlet/inlet pipe also. Currently stock dsg (need a stage 2 tune) and running a 2012 golf r tune. It was 0-60 in 5.8 as bought with exhaust golf r tune stock everything else on 98 octane on crap tyres pirreli dragon sport, average tyre.

Dude I definitely did not have any issues with the radiator being pushed back due to the IC. Hope you have it installed correctly. The only time mine gave me issues is when the top of the radiator was not properly retained.

The eBay ic is one of the thickest ones you can get. I didn’t have issues with it rubbing but I didn’t like how close it was to the belt

@@JewelCity1 gotcha. On your E85 IS38 setup, what kinda gas mileage do you pull? I pull like 35 on my FBO IS20 as I do quite a bit of highway and just drive spirited occasionally. Curious how bad the E85 mileage is.

@@MeltingRubberZ28 a lot of city driving so mpgs like 16-18, including roll events. If I drive it softly in eco mode I can bump up mpgs a bit.

Stock location usually allows more volume for cooling on mk7. Some ppl swear by fmic which could work, you just have to look at the size and its cooling type for what you’re trying to do

The motor can handle a lot of power reliably it’s the torque that can make them blow and it maxes out at around 440 tq before it starts to get risky

My friend I have a MK5 GTI an d I will tell you that front mount that you are removing is far more efficient than the performance version that sits in the stock location, especially if you run the intercooler delete from NM Engineering with the front mount.

Removing the factory IC and putting the new one probably took 3-4hrs taking it slow with breaks in between. Add another 45min of fabrication to make the intake fit and clearance of any hoses/wires rubbing
