Sounds like three guitars at once - He is very much underrated as a guitar player. His right hand does so much work, amazing!

Good luck mike or neil having a go at that. People used to criticise me for liking FM rumours line up . " soft rock" they said ; i said , are you kidding ??? Just listen to what lindsey plays on back end of go your own way ? Savage thrilling guitar. Amongst a thousand other things. He brought a visceral energy to the band ( along with genius production and songs) but FM without him ??? Soft rock !

It's clear how challenging this song is becoming to play for him. The changing tempo, the struggle is very obviously audible, but it kinda makes the performance even better in my ears and eyes. He still plays it naturally and great but you feel him becoming older. It puts a great tension to this song.
@tamasvarga9862 Жыл бұрын
I think Lindsey still played it almost perfectly and the struggle was more so with his voice, not his playing. Just think about how he's been playing this for like 35 years, his fingerpicking stamina is forever baked into his arm and fingers. the banjo rolls at 2:01 are actually the hardest and he's doing it flawlessly without even a pinky planted on the guitar.

With age, keeping up at 133bpm becomes a bit shitty and difficult, and this one is even slowed down slightly for obvious reason. It's great how it still blows my mind when he plays and sings
@CALLE92JOHANSSON3 жыл бұрын
He shakes his hand before playing, and the mistake is very early. I'm learning the song and can empathize, I also find it's hardest in the beginning before your fingers find the patterns. It's completely reliant on muscle memory and keeping the bass note tempo to guide the other notes, so that's where you screw up before getting into the rhythm. After playing this song you also have to shake the rhythm out of your hand, it's hard to introduce the right hand to another song after this shredding.
@bigred226853 жыл бұрын
Yeah we have to cut him some slack though, playing this song cleanly is extremely difficult even at a reduced tempo and the guy is 70.

It's interesting to compare this rendition of Big love with Lindsay's performance of it in 1997 on 'The Dance' - this acoustic version is just as intense and powerful. What a talented singer and guitarist !
@novaphonix82844 жыл бұрын
Love you Lindsey, prayers and continued success to you; and you will have a great story coming. Know that Stevie is talented as well and she has to much bitterness in her; you love a person and you care for them and they only count the bad, and I believe she has resentment that you could go to have children and a partner( her age prevents the chance of children.) That's just my opinion, Stevie can't forgive a man that loved her for years, I hate to think of her heart bring that cold. I have ranted enough, maybe one-day she'll admit her love. Mick Fleetwood is a cold blooded, vicious user, who's to old to have not matured, he never will in my opinion. Yes, all this is what I believe. Rock On Lindsey!!!
