BIG NEWS for QUEST 2 | Multiple Facebook accounts and App Sharing | What to expect?

Oculus/Facebook rolls out Multi-User and App Sharing functions to Oculus Quest 2. What can we expect from them?
*** Multi-User account means that multiple Facebook accounts can be logged into the same VR headset. More specifically, there will be one primary account holder, and up to three secondary accounts.
*** App Sharing means that the primary account will have the ability to share apps with the secondary accounts on a single device.
Sounds great? Not so fast! There are some serious limitations to this functionality which I will describe in this video.
I also explain a potential pathway to go around these limitations and play games on up to four VR sets with only one account.

They want to concentrate less on things like this and concentrate on the quality of manufacturing. As im now gonna be on my third headset in less than 2 months . The first headset was perfect until i got the dreaded stuck pixel on the right lense . The second headset had way to much blur on the left lense . Fingers crossed on the third

I guess it could be good for it you let a friend borrow your headset, they could get access to your games without getting access to your friendslist, etc. Or a family with a bunch of kids who all want their separate friend lists and names. They should have made it so that everything was shared between accounts and libraries, but only one "library" could be used at a time. Would have made so much more sense.

If you can share games though, it would’ve be nice to have like parental type feature to limit games and screen time, say for adults who share their quest 2 with younger children?

HEY, I found a new way to switch from modded beat saber to multiplayer... 1.) go into BMBF on your Quest 1 or 2 2.) disable all your mods bottom to top 3.) sync to beat saber 4.) start beat saber 5.) Go into multiplayer lobby PS.) when I did this... I had the chance to select custom songs in the multiplayer lobby Hope this helps and I hope you read this!!

I didn't have to disable any mods. Multiplayer on modded beatsaber just seems to be working now (for the moment at least). I don't know if actual custom songs work with it though - I was just playing quick match mode.

for some reason multiplayer started working with custom songs. Nobody knows why and how long it'll last, even the mod devs, but enjoy it for the moment :) I'm not sure if it works with custom 3D models though, you'll have to try it out and let us know :)

@@AnimalTree215 Custom sabers work, I assume blocks do too - I don't normally use them because I find they make my framerate unstable...

Currently only some but not all multiplayer games will work if two Quests are used with one Facebook account. In these situations only one copy of the game needs to be purchased for the two headsets www.reddit.com/r/oculus/wiki/crossplay
