The last game I ordered from Gamestop was back in like 2012. I ordered a new copy of Lost Odyssey and got a stack of four disks in sleeves and a normal generic game case that they didn't even fit into. Before that was when Too Human was recalled and I thought it would be cool to have a sealed copy so I ordered a new copy from Gamestop and they sent me one that was opened. Those on top of the countless times I got gutted "new" games from them really put me over the edge. I don't buy many physical games any more but when I do, it's not from Gamestop.

The PS5 Pro sound more and more like what this gen was supposed to be and the regular PS5 is a half gen offering an improvement over last gen of only an SSD. The teraflops don't seem to mean anything. The PS4 is 1.84 and the PS5 is 10.28. That should guarantee 60 fps with graphics that is "obviously" better. Yet no. The PS5 only delivered shorter load times. Maybe this is the reason why the PS5 Pro has not been officially been announced. It is fiction as well.

Been burned on used games from GameStop enough times that I never order used from them anymore. I am a CIB collector and having to track down the box and decent, non jacked up cover art/manual just isn't worth it. Loose discs from GameStop and then the hunt on eBay to complete the game is why I have two discs and one box for Spec Ops: The Line, three discs and two boxes for Dying Light, and 2 discs, one box and two manuals for Alan Wake.

Star Wars Outlaws should have learned from Battlefront 2 they have already effected their sales. Its really stupid because by locking content behind a more expensive tier costs them more in the long run. When they do not do that kind of thing the sales from the regular game could have been super high, but now many like me have already decided to pass on the game so they have a ton of lost sales so in the end they lose more money than they could have made had they just made players happy.

For me, outside of getting a game new and full price, the only other way i buy from Gamestop is if they have new games they are fire-saling for a low price. The PS5 Pro being able to do VRR better is likely just a better HDMI chip. The PS5 chip can only do 32Gbps. The Series X can do 40Gbps. I doubt it will be shadow dropped. Devolver Digital likes to stretch marketing leading up to a game's release.

Same, I got so many indie/lesser known games on my wishlists that are yet to be released like Jump Ship, Runa, SPGP Super Polygon Grand Prix, Parking Garage Rally Circuit, Fumes, Victory Heat Rally, Ood School Rally, hyper Light Breaker, Repunk, Evotinction, Selaco, Sin Reloaded, The Last Exterminator, Phantom Fury, Interlopers, Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse, Let Bions Be Bygons, SCHiM, Screenbound, Decline's Drops, Wind Runners, Aero GPX, Megacopter, Core Decay, Falling Frontier, Gestalt; Steam & Cinder, JDM: Japanese Drift Master, REPLACED, Verge World.. I am never gonna financially recover 💀

Final Fantasy 15 was apart of the PS Plus stay for the launch of ps5. Not sure if that one will stay in your library if you’ve redeemed it then after it leaves the lineup. Hopefully so too, I have no idea where my disc is and had been working on Platinum it. Not too far away now from a Plat. Crazy that Square would take them off, which makes me wonder how much they’re losing OR making off it (if they are on other systems and dont need the service). Final Fantasy is on the PS Plus “collections” feature.

I couldn’t care less about 8k visuals next gen. Reduce the assets keep the files smaller and let me play it anywhere is what I want in the future.

The newer the titles, the better chance you’ll get the original game case at GameStop. If you’re going to buy an older game, that’s where you most likely can run into those generic box. I like my local GameStop store.

my guess is silksong will be at an xbox big presentation or summer gamefest or vga. when it got announced tbey said it was an important addition to the day 1 gamepass game catalogue. id say MS will push big to promote it on their platform just as it is doing now for the Persona Series
