I’d love to see how you pack the plants to fly back. I always want to buy a plant when I travel to a different state, but I’ve never done so because I’m unsure about flying with them, through security and all.

i've actually never flown with plants! i always cross by land. but from what i've heard, it's fairly easy as long as it isn't any larger than carry on size. reddit might be a good place to read for info!

I have the same question. Do you need an import permit and phytosanitary to cross the border by land when bringing plants into Canada?

@plantswithsara you can refer to section 4.7 on this site! keep it handy when you cross the border- inspection.canada.ca/plant-health/invasive-species/directives/imports/d-08-04/eng/1323752901318/1323753560467 if you're just bringing indoor houseplants, you can let them know it's potted in non-soil media (since houseplants are primarily grown in peat which is not the same soil that's restricted) for personal use. hope that helps!

and sorry to answer your question, as long as the plants are from US origin, you don't need a permit or phyto to cross via land!

Wow 🤩 a beautiful plant store. I am still on the hunt for a Rhipsalis Paradoxa and the Cissus Quadrangularis where i live they are so hard and rare to find. The rats tail i also want one aswell from seeing on Wildfern’s Channel. I have the monkey tail and the golden rat’s tail. I love these trailing type of plants. Your niece looking more and more like her mum there like twins.
