I think that Kosei’s requirements being what they are help keep it in check from being too powerful. Being mono green also keeps it in check because there are auras in the other colors that could make things a much faster clock. Great gameplay, although I wish I could have seen more of your deck! I'm a BIG fan of Kosei! Running a lot of Creature tutors alongside Bestow and Reconfigure creatures seems like a decent way to go to get him going!

Kosei is one of my favorite decks and this showcases why. He can deal so much damage and draw tons, just needs some setup!

Game lesson: don't use cards that can potentially give your opponent so much advantage, unless you can take at least twice as much advantage. I learned that lesson the hard way when I dropped Solemnity and an opponent took advantage of it by dropping a Mystic Remora he'd never have to pay cumulative upkeep for (yeah, Eternal Fish... THE HORROR). After that game, I remembered Decree of Silence and Phyrexian Unlife were also a thing and cut Solemnity from my deck.

I love my Shorikai deck and decided to just go along with the vehicle focus. I’m considering changing it to bird tribal and using Shorikai as a value engine to never run out of gas.

I put Shorikai in my Tivit artifact deck for that very reason. I also put some of the precon's cards there for fun shenanigans, such as Cyberdrive Awakener to turn my clues and treasures into 4/4 fliers for one turn.

Shorikai is such a fun deck and root for it every time I see it in a video. Very different from mine. I tried to focus mine around untap effects.

Unless it is your only available play, I don't understand playing Jetmir when you only have a handful of creatures. The longer he is on board, the more likely he is to be removed. If you wait until you're going to hit the 9+ creature mark, you're more likely to be going for lethal with Jetmir's buffs.

I had to ask. Does the Kosei damage from the trigger doesnt count as Commander Damage?

It does not! It's not combat damage, it's just an additional ability that deals damage.

Nope but fun fact: infect works, you only need to have him as 10/10 and infect to One shot everyone. I did It with Triumph of the horde, in a 8 player pod. They insta kill me if i use that deck

Only combat damage counts as commander damage. Damage from abilities isn't combat damage, not even if it triggers from dealing combat damage.

With bloodbraid, carytid, and jetmir out he already had +1/+0 because jetmir doesn't say 3 or more OTHER creatures
