Cutting up a plastic milk bottle to fashion a wrap to put around the top of the fork gets the new seal past that lip without touching it. Delboys Garage has a video showing this idea. Nice job and an excellent video. Keep them coming

In all the years I have been riding, I have never seen a fork replacement completed with my own eyes. Absolutely brilliant. I have a 2012 cbr1000r I need to do forks on I have the same showa forks. Is the fork cap 43mm and what size was the other special tool too because you didn’t say which size you used.

What oil height or quantity do I measure too mid change right now and a answer would be solely appreciated. Can't find what I'm looking for online

Hello sir, great job, i have exactly the same bike 2014, with the same ish, problem, mine is dust seals are cracked, but while there being replaced it might as well have new fork seals, i don't have a garage or the special tools so dont want to do it myself, how much do you charge roughly, and is burton-on-trent within your sphere of operations, also how can you be contacted. Sure may as well ask you... whay size is the top fork cap? As there is a number of different listings, getting everything from 43mm to 50mm i kmow the internal.

Great video. After you finished the assembly and you spun the front wheel, is it normal for there be resistance like that without any brake applied?

Do a search for BPF fork tool and you should find it. Remember there are 2 different sized tools so you’ll need the correct one for your application
