Wow! Larry that is eye-opening and enlightening. you are the first instructor to bring this to my attention. I don't know and can't count how many times I have rehearsed the pump and arms only back swing. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. Continue the good work and I will look for and follow you instruction methods.

watched this video and the entire row of golfers on the range are "pumping" they're swings, myself included. I stopped and will practice this every time. Thanks Larry, your lessons rock!

Can you show a 3/4 swing using the same technique? I tend to pull it left when taking a easier swing.

Hi Larry, when I try your delay and rotate open it works fine for my irons - I hit a push draw. But when I try it for my driver and fairway woods I hit a massive slice. Any advice?

Peter Finch is notorious for doing this as part of his routine before hitting his driver. Watch any of his videos and you’ll see.

Because you need to get your left arm off your chest to get in a good impact position

that may be what he needs and that's fine, different feels for different ppl =)

Great video perfect timing also. Would this also be the same with the driver? Would you be able to do a driver video showing how to hit up not down. Thanks Jeff

There is a video I did on how to swing driver better that will help you question =)

The pumping drill may have been popularized by Justin Rose and Im not going to disagree with either of you. Just goes to show that there are ways to swing a club. Do what "works" for you try to have fun.

Chris Macaraeg that’s exactly what I thought too

Yes different feels for different people. All i'm saying in this video is most amateur golfers can benefit from not doing this =)

Not being rude,but this is a very unnnatural style of the golf swing right?
@shawnbutton7204 жыл бұрын
It’s a feel, not a real swing. The exaggeration makes it easier/quicker to learn

If your natural swing isn't producing results, then you should want to do something unnatural =)
