"Schoolie style" 😂😂 that's funny. Glad you were prepared, like all good Sailors are!

I love it when a plan comes together. Being prepared and being able to fix problems yourself is such a wonderful thing.

We have a Montana 5th wheel and experienced a part failure for the hydraulic system. Getting a knowledgeable tech to come to the rv was a NIGHTMARE. The extended or manufacturer warranty refused to cover it on site. And the tech was a good 'ol-boy selling & swapping parts until he found the problem. And warranty did pay! They didn't want to pay for a tow truck & damages. So now, we are well versed in how to bypass the control panel to retract the slides or raise the jacks. Or both. Never expected to have a second failure! Definitely have a spare on hand now! It's an insurance (fingers crossed!) we won't need it. (Part # 421484 RV Auto Leveling System)

Oh, exactly this. Honestly, when forced, you can figure a LOT out in your own rig. We even have a spare fan motor for our ACs. lol

With wife inside pressing the slide in/out while I "jumpered" motor (like a car starter) and manually open/close specific valve, we successfully moved cross country. Oregon to Florida.

I have a 2008 Tour Master with the big slide, it seams like it drops down on an angle more than it should while moving out and back in. I’m curious if it’s normal movement. We bought our rig from a wholesaler 3 years ago and love it. Thanks!

It does. Right before our paint job on our most recent video, we took it to a shop and had it adjusted. Do you have a large gap on the bottom of the slide gasket? We do and there's definitely more droop than I think there should be but it could also be because they swapped out a hard rubber gasket along the top for a soft one. It's honestly our our least liked feature of this coach. It would be so much better if we had two slides on both sides of the coach to give us the same size living room.

@@ayeartovolunteer we definitely have a gap at the bottom, I wouldn’t call it a large gap, but enough that the slide is at a slight angle when opened fully, most people don’t notice but I know it’s there. I would love to know how it operated when new or find a repair place that knows these slides, each of our 3 slides are different. I watched your post about the replacement pump and will be ordering one, we have several extra parts like water pump, cabinet latches, lights fuses, etc. so that will be a good addition. I would love to see a show on slides! Thanks for what you are doing!

@@donsimons6379 we were just talking on our walk this morning about possibly heading into Elkhart Indiana to see if there are some experts who can take a look at it and possibly give that thing a refurbishment. If so, we will do a video on that. Just absolutely love our crusty crumpet of a 2007 but we do have maintenance issues. We just had our aluminum metal bbframe break apart at the welds two weeks ago.
