My mom had a large collection of Bosson's that she bought when we lived in Germany. Unfortunately a 30' wall of water washed them out of her house during Katrina. They were still in the boxes so we figure either they are deep in the swamp or out in the ocean somewhere.
@TheAntiqueNomad2 жыл бұрын
Oh no! That's terrible, I didn't realize she went thorugh all that. I hope she was able to rebuild
@BayouBelleVintiques2 жыл бұрын
@@TheAntiqueNomad Yes, they rebuilt. They had built this house in Bay St. Louis MS as their retirement home and had only been in it for a month before Katrina hit. They lived in a 18' RV for over a year while trying to rebuild. It was a nightmare. Things can be replaced, the worst part was the loss of all the family photos. Their house was 19' off the ground, so no one thought a 30' wall of water would ever hit that location!

Good evening, George! Those model cars were nice. One of them looked like a Duesenberg. There was a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote glass there. I would've had to have bought that one. You were there at just the right time for those. That Waterford shell was a fantastic find! That was a really good thrift shopping venture! That doesn't happen often. Thanks for taking us along!!!

I do like Wile E. Coyote! The secretary was the nicest piece of furniture I found all day. I was certainly lucky to walk up on the fresh cart of stock right then! Have you ever seen the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg museum? Those cars are so phenomenal (and huge) in person
@CONSTELLATION_PEGASUS2 жыл бұрын
@@TheAntiqueNomad I've never seen the Auburn/Cord/ Duesenberg museum, but I have seen a Duesie, and they are massive! I saw a Duesie clocked one time. It was one of the ginormous ones...an SJ, (or something like that), dual cowl Phaeton, I think...and the radar clocked that thing at 133 MPH...on the old spoke wheels, no less! It had a V-12 in it. I'd love to have one of them, but I'd have to live in it😆 Wouldn't be able to afford anything else!
