I couldn't agree more. I primarily come to YT to see people create and share information. It should be like a video GITHUB where the goal is to help and inspire. I'm growing increasingly tired of all the "look what I bough with the money I make off you people" tubers.

Just wipe some boiled linseed oil on those rusty fenders about once a year or so. They’ll be fine, especially out there in the desert. You can thin it a little bit with mineral spirits if you need to. Good progress on the camper. It’s so cool, you watch, in about a year everybody will have one.

I watched my dad braze up a Knaack toolbox for my truck that had huge cracks in the lid on both sides with old coat hangers. My uncle was going to haul it off for scrap. When my dad finished with it and ground down those braze welds, it looked new without paint. My dad told me that's how he learned to weld before getting enough money to buy and run a rig truck for the pipelines in early 50s

RV manufactures use a gummy tape to seal the siding at corners & laps. Comes in a roll & it’s also used in vacuum bagging fiberglass & carbon fiber parts, which is easiest to find the stuff. Peel the wax paper off of it and apply to one surface then stick other surface to it & as you screw or rivet the two together that gummy tape will squeeze out. Cut off excess after & you’ll have a bullet proof seal for 50 years

Mike, perhaps this is already on your mind but I think it could be a good idea to consider some form of exterior armor down low all the way around. The rear bumper may take a beating from the rocks but what if a rock should go up past and rip a hole in the tin siding of the trailer... Just a thought! Love what you are all doing, keep it up!

Metal Dash itself is easy to get out with the window removed. 2 bolts on each side underneath and 11 spot welds to drill and it comes right out. Takes me 45 minutes with the window out.
